i want to know your opinion about it. which job is better? the one with low salary but satisfies you or the one which has handsome salary but does not satisfy you but suits your high qualifivations and degrees.
on one hand you have the job you love and on the other hand you have the job which you don't like butgetting paid high to do that job. which one to choose?

Can I keep both?O.k in the initial stages of my career i would prefer the one with high money...Cause then money will be important more than my satisfaction...Then when I feel i have something considerable to support me during trouble I will settle for the one with makes me content ans also invest in a way so that i can make my satisfaction my success..

hi arthi
your idea is good but what you are saying is not possible in real life.once you join the high paying job and then switch to a low paying job, what the problem will occur is you can't adjust their. you have been used to spending money on porsch things and living life in luxury, once you switch too the low paying job you have to start compressing yourself and that is where the problem arises your body has got used to so much luxury that you can't adjust there even you are satisfied.

Yup you are correct but if I can turn my hobby into a lucrative business with the capital from my previous job then why not..Sometimes independence of your own business no matter what the pay is, is more luxurious then a high paying job..guess we both are partially correct..As you said its going to be tough but as I said Its not impossible!!

If I am a fresh graduate, I would choose the later. The one which could pay me high salary and can make a living for me. I would be able to save some money just with a year of working at that place. After I got the money, I would go for the former one, the job which could satisfy me more, as the lifetime job.
I just want to be realistic with this. Money is important and the second offer was suit the reality better than the former. You can get retired anytime but to earn a good salary, you only have one shot.

Well, I didn't see how it could relate between the job and the kidney transplantation. As what I say, the salary which can pay me high would give me the opportunity to save the money every month. I am trained to save my money since I was 10 so I didn't think that saving money is a hard thing to do for me. And I believe if I have enough to save, I would have enough for a health insurance, kidney transplantation, heart transplant or maybe brain transplant wouldn't be any problem then. :) cheers. I love health insurance

girl, be practical, it is easy to say those words nut in reality when you face the life, you have to be strong enough to choose that option. if suppose after you collected your money and switched to the satisfying job and then after you came to realise that you had to do a kidney transplantation and you don't have for that. if you would have continued in the high salary job then you could easily cope up with such problems. so what do you have to say now?

I my opinon, it sure would be nice to have the higher paying job but, what is most important, is doing something you love to do. My job doesn't pay that much but I love doing it and I come home without stress or worry. A person can always make more money, like me, with network marketing, online income sources etc. So the financial situation with the high paying job can be countered with that. Stress can be a killer though!

When I was younger, I thought making a lot of money was the ultimate goal in life. I found out, though, that loving my work was much more meaningful and important. OK, so I'm almost always broke. Getting by is a challenge I can usually handle pretty well. But my job and the people with whom I work are truly a joy. What more could anyone ask?

my former job was not paying good but i love it because of good working atmosphere and it helped a lot of people. i stayed in that job for 7 years. i grew mature in that job. but things change, here comes a new management which is so mean and non-humanitarian. Even though i love my job but the atmosphere was not good. one day, i just realize that i was just dragging myself to work. i lost the passion. so i find other opportunities. i was accepted in a university as a teacher. i realized that this is my passion. no matter how hard the pressures, but i still do my best because i love it. the big plus to this job, is that i am paid twice my salary from the previous job.
moral of the story, being happy in your job is important. no matter how low or high the salary is, what matters is your passion and joy is in that job.

for practicality, i guess i will stay in a good paying job even i dont love it, for the mean time. I will still continue to look for jobs that will give me happiness. because its so draining and difficult to stay on the job that you dont like. money can drive you to work but you are not enjoying. think of this, you will be staying in that job at least 8 hrs a day. during these hours, you are causing yourself a lot of stress. at the end, the money you will be earning will not be even enough to pay your hospital bill. Im speaking from experience. I know you will find a far more great job if you just look around.

I think I would stick to the high paid job, even though you might not like it, but with the money you earn, you can do a lot of things that you will like, for example you could go on holidays or expensive restaurants. High paid jobs also offer you the possibility that you might meet very intelligent, and smart-looking people that in result might get you a better job, the one that you might like.
