If her skin is actually scarred, there's nothing she can do. Scars are permanent.

Fading happens in time as well. Fading doesn't change the fact that scars are permanent, though, and will remain.
rachednurse, I don't think it will change your friend's life. A scar is just a mark, nothing more. In fact, I love my scars (none are self inflicted). They each have a story behind them and they're just a part of me.

Scares are not as permanent as you think. I had a scar across my entire shin since i was 14 years old.. I started applying Royal Jelly to it and it has almost completely faded away.. So they are not always as permanent as you think.

Maybe try Aloe' vera lotion, and vitamin E cream, moreso when going to bed!

Sounds like a wise idea; these things are tragic when they happen: and health care cost outrageous these days don't you think so?
