Sarah Palin's average Joe Sixpack has a net worth of a million dollars?

According to Sarah "Hockey Mom" Palin's tax returns her net worth is $960,000 to $2.3 million. I don't know to many normal Hockey mom's, or Joe Sixpack that are worth anything near this kind of money. Does anyone else feel that this information was held back till after the debate to save Sarah Palin? This is just another PaLIE to add to pile, pretty soon we won't be able to see the light of day over her stack of lies.

Total disconnect with the average joe sixpack. She obviously doesn't have the same conversations around the kitchen table as the people I associate with daily. And I'm sure that by the end of the week she's not having to switch to Ramen noodles until the next paycheck.

Remember, her tax returns are from BEFORE everything went to crap in this country though. My home was appraised for $389,500 in 2004...went down to $310,000 last December...and now my homeowner's PMI company appraised it for $190,000. What, the new windows, new roof (house AND garage) and new AC didn't make a difference? THAT'S the reality I'm facing...and I'm losing my home, my car and possibly my business.
She scares me, plain and simple. And God forbid...there's a very REAL possibility that if she gets elected, she may end up with a promotion...and we get a First Dude...YIKES!
I'm going back to hide under the covers....

Actually, it'll be a lot less headaches for me. When my ex and I bought it, I didn't have MS--I was diagnosed 2 1/2 years later, and I should have sold it then. We couldn't afford it together, so why did I think I could afford it alone? Sometimes I make ME wonder...

I hope everything goes well for you. I know this is a hard market to sell in unless you're in an area that is currently experiencing growth. Good Luck!

Hey, I like that, "PaLie" - pretty clever!
You know, I think I could overlook - not vote for her due to the issues, but overlook - her lie about the "Bridge to Nowhere", her misrepresenting herself as a "Joe six-pack", her lie about the legislation regarding the Sudan, her lie about the budget surplus in Wasilla, her charging taxpayers for sleeping in her own house, her lie about selling the plane on e-Bay, her refusal to cooperate in the "trooper-gate" investigation and whatever else I may be forgetting but when you put them all together you come up with a huge pattern that is very troubling. Sweet Sarah isn't at all what she markets herself to be, is she?

Kind of a silly point to be calling her a liar on. Would I consider myself average with a million dollars? Probably.

A million dollars in net worth is not the average for most Americans. Yes, there are some that are near there, but not the majority. The point I am making has nothing that she is not a normal person, I don't know anyone normal person that charges their employer for sleeping in their own house.

He clearly has no problem with the fact that her entire family income is less than Biden, Obama, or McCain earn individually. He also left out the fact that Palin gave herself a pay cut, and saves the state money by living in her home instead of the governor's mansion. As such it's part of being governor for the state to pay for your lodging. The state would also pay for a personal chef who she decided was unnecessary and a luxury jet which she sold.

I thought that issue was put to sleep a long time ago. I'm not quite sure what you and some of the others were expecting from her. Was she not suppose to use the money that was specifically given for living expenses? Was she not supposed to take a salary that is allowed for being governor?
You seem to have a problem with her being paid at all. Do you have problems with all other elected officials being paid?

Considering she got paid for staying at home, by the taxpayers...yeah, there's a SLIGHT disconnect here.

I don't know, do you think she realizes that everytime she says that I think of the current Bush? As for her Joe Sixpack thing I don't own three homes so I can't relate. I have one friend with a lake house but, all the rest of us poor average "folks" that I know are single home owners lol.

with holding a persons money matters is not a lie. She isn't a normal hockey mom she is the govenor of alaska so yes she is goin to have money. She is a govenor that takes an active interest in her kids activities. Sorry to say but all those that run for office have or had lied so the difference this time around is?

Thank you for your response. I am not saying that she is lying about her money situation, I am saying that she has no idea what "Joe Sixpack", or normal "Hockey moms" are going through. You are 100% correct that she isn't a normal hockey mom: Can you please tell her this! We have heard stories from Todd Palin of taking care of the kids, so I don't know how active she really is in her childrens lives (I guess we do have an exmaple of how active she is in her daughters life, but we won't go there right now). I agree that all politicans lie, the problem with Sarah is that she has lied so much, you don't have any idea what is true, and what is a lie.

She and her husband MADE their money. She grew up as an average person and so did her husband. In some ways they represent what can be accomplished by average people who put their mind to something. Neither of them were handed their money on a silver platter and neither of them have ever been known for the elitist behavior which Obama has become popular for.

Oh Poor Taskr, you say that she isn't an elitist? This is the same women that hired a lobbist as mayor to take as much money from the American people as possible to pay for projects that she couldn't afford. If Barack did this you would have a fit. This is the same women that ended the state income tax, because Sarah believes that the taxpayers of the United States should pay it for them. Doesn't this sound like an elitist? How about making the taxpayers pay for you sleeping in your own house? Sounds like an elitist to me. Do you really want to get into a class warfare battle when your parties leader is worth hundreds of millions dollars? There are three family in this race that are worth under 5 million, and one that is worth hundreds of millions. Do you really want to do that?

Sarah and Todd made their money working for the Government, that isn't what most of us would consider the old fashion way. Sarah and Todd made their money the same way that Joe Biden did, so doesn't that make Joe Biden the same as Sarah and Todd? John McCain married into his money, and Barack Obama made his money working for the government, and writting his books. Lets all be honest there, no politican earns his or her money, they lie cheat and steal to make their money. Plain and simple.
