Im not saying tommorow, what if. But what if, 10 years ago before we knew all about high fructose corn syrup, hydrogenated oils, and all those additives they use to make nothing taste like food--What if their was a law to deman healthy foods to be affordable to all. Would our society, known for its obesity over many other countries, be much healthier for it?

I would really LOVE to see this!! :)
Some things should be plain forbidden, some heavily taxed (!) - the most unhealthy ones... & the healthier the food the less tax there should be on it, so it would mean being more affordable...
Yes, people would get healthier...!!
My Dad has cured his rheumatism with healthier food, & knows a guy who cured his leukemia with healthier food...
this would mean less money for the medical system... so of course some 'big pharma' companies would be against it... but overall it might improve everybody's & state finances...

You know the one thing I have struggled soo much to wing myself off of--sugar, I believe what Ive heard about overprocessed foods affecting the taste bud negatively. I remember in Suzanne Somers interview she said that these additives just send your body in high gear and are soo taxing on the body. But it works, I think its time to consider sugar as a stimulant. Maybe if salt and sugars weren't giving us such a fix then produce would actually be appreciated in society because we could TASTE them for what they are.

I think it would help, but I don't think it would be a cure all. Maybe people would buy more of the healther options to save money, and therefore eat a bit healthier, but people are still always going to buy those unhealthy foods that they enjoy, simply because they enjoy them. So I think it would help a little, but it would not be a cure all.
