The last time someone with as little experience as Obama was in a presidential race it was Dan Quayle for VP. He had a solid reputation, served in the national guard, had no questionable associations, and yet was ridiculed by the media even before his gaffes began.
Of course he was a republican. Perhaps it was his party affiliation and not his race that caused the media to mock him. I've never known a more inexperienced democrat, with similar associations who even came close to being nominated.

"if it was a white candidate with the same background as obama would you still vote for him??"
Yes.
"please explain why you would vote for a black man with a bad record and seedy associations"
There is no such man running for President. As soon as I found out Obama spoke out against the war on the day the war resolution was passed, I was sold. He got it right in a way that would have saved over 4,000 American lives and over a half TRILLION dollars basically thrown down the toilet. Also, since he was arguing that we should focus on Afghanistan, I'm sure Bin laden would have been caught too--it's obvious the reason we haven't caught him is because this administration isn't TRYING to catch him. Our military can do it, but not if they're deployed into the WRONG COUNTRY.
"but a white candidate with identical record and associations would be ostricized??"
Says who? Are you projecting racism onto others? I don't care how much melanin Obama's body produces, and no serious, rational person does either. MOST of the world is past such trivialities, but it looks like some people just can't let go of nonsensical criteria like this.
"my gosh obamas hero is a SOCIALIST!"
I bet you can't even accurately define "socialism". You're obvious just using it like a curse word, in the same way the right-wingers use "liberal" and "leftist" as pejoratives.
"things that make you go HMMMM."
Your post makes me go "Argh."

Most politicians have seedy associations. You may not be aware of this but Giuliani, both Clintons, Richard Nixon & John Kennedy were all proported to have Mob connections. Having said that, racism is ugly no matter how your phrase it. I do not cast my vote based on skin color or gender. As far as Obama being a socialist, I don't agree with you at all.

I don't think that among most people there is an Obama double standard. I'll give you that there are many, many African-Americans that don't want to see his issues, they want to see a black president. And that's not racism, that's fact; some whites are the same way. But most people just don't see what's right in front of their noses on this one: Barack Obama has many, many communist ideals. I'll support our America, and John McCain.

I will vote for Obama simply because he is a democrat.
His color does not matter to me.
What amazes me is that no one is paying attention
to what's really been done by Republicans.
Nevermind, look at where the last 8 years has us now...
