Is there a God?

With all this talk on the god particle and maybe finding that God actually exists. How do you think this will impact the world and religions if we do find out there is a god? Since many people only believe in what they see, how do you think this will affect them and society as a whole?

I do know and believe that there is a God. It's just hard to explain and to be honest ..topic about religion is very tough. All I can say is...when people are in trouble...the first words that would come out of their mouth is "OH GOD" or "Help me GOD"

Yeah I do find myself saying that a bit. I find great comfort in it also, knowing that I can go to him , no matter what. :D

same here. i am catholic but non-practitioner though. i firmly believe that there is God but i don't attend mass and all that.

Our faith is our god. Our thinking is our God,Our attitude is our God, In this world who see the God no one they have faith in it. Your faith and Thinking makes the God. I will ask one question.If u get the head pain or any body pain your are taking the analgic tab.Just that docter told U about the thing.even u dont know the content of the medicine.Why u not belive the god?The motheer and father has told about that there is god you want to belive it. One day the truth will come in front of you..

It might make the world a better place if people believe they will be accountable to a higher being for what they do on this earth. I think maybe crime would go down, people would take their marriage vows more seriously and be more honest in their business dealings. Then again, it could make no difference at all!

it is true , maybe it would help out the world a great deal . It would be nice to see a marriage last more than two to three years these days . Morals are just not instilled as they used to be. I do hope it would help people find that proverbial heart.

This question was answered over 2,000 years ago. Jesus came as close as anyone could to proving there is a God. Just read your New Testament and you can see how people reacted to this.

You are a friend and i will keep my promise about responding however i donot like to comment on these type of discussions Only because they seem to be the only posts that if you admit you have Faith and believe God you get some insulting remarks .However that is not your styles yes indeed It will not effect anyone because we will not see the evidence there is a God until we are in the next life That is about it Good Luck It is because of God that I am alive today
