I learned from my mother, my grandma, and of course, Food Network. I started cooking when i was really young. I think I was about 5 the first time I made scrambled eggs. I would say I am a pretty good cook/baker, but I am in no way a gourmet chef or anything. I usually have only very plain ingredients to work with since my family has never had the money for fancy ingredients. One thing I like to do is bake cookies, almost any kind of cookie. Since they freeze well, it's easy to have several kinds on hand. Now that I am in college, I am totally broke, and so my cooking is, well, very dull. Currently specializing in brown rice, oatmeal, and eggs, eggs, and eggs, since they are the cheapest protein.

Actually it runs in my family, from my grandmother to aunties and parents, all know and likes to cook. I learned cooking from my mother and grandma. I don't think I can be describe as a great cook, I still have lots to learn and not quite skillful in it, but I think I can cook. The foods that I cook are quite good and delicious, at least according to them.

I was very unfortunate to have lost my mother when i was very small, just 2 yrs old, earlier there were some relatives who took care of us, later when we grew up a little we started ourselves, we were sisters and everyone was studying, so we took turns so that everyone can get time for studies also. I remeber that i was in 5th standard when i first made chapatis. Slowly we learnt and now we all sisters are best cooks, cooking everything, every type of dishes and all are food lovers...

Most of my coooking knowledge came from my granmother. I lived with her for many years. I consider myself to be a decent cook, but my grandma said that there is always room for improvement with cooking.

My mom taught me how to bake. She was great at it. As far as cooking, I learned some from other family members growing up and the rest was self taught or from watching cooking shows. I have to admit, I am pretty good cook :)
