mine was the lonely planet philippines.
it was actually a reference book of my country and i already have read it form cover to cover and when i got a split time, i always found myself still scanning through it. it was also a book of my late father which i decided i must heir.
my next book was that of a compilation of children's fairy tales.
i never get tired reading about them all. both simplicity and art of the story were simply indulging!
you have a favorite book that you stillread despite the already many times you did?

hi there.
i also love reading old books and history at times coz they allow us to peak into the life centuries ago. at times i wonder how i'd live on life when sword was used primarily and ladies always at home.
i hope that aside from us, book-addicts, others will also learn to apprecite reading books. they can be very helpful.
thanks for yourresponse!

I have read "Where the Heart is" by Billie Letts probably close to a hundred times in the last 10 years. It is my all-time favorite book. There are so many life lessons to be learned in the book.

Mine is a tie between J.D. Salinger's "Catcher in the Rye" and "The Lion, the Witch and the Wardrobe" from the Chronicles of Narnia series.
The first because it's a quick read, and I always pick up some subtlety that I've missed in the previous 50 readings, as I sometimes read too quickly.
The second because it was one of my favorite books from childhood, and never fails to stir my imagination and unblock writer's block.
I've also read the book "The Five People you Meet in Heaven" by Mitch Albom over 20 times since it came out. And I still cry every time.

hi grace.
i also adore brett but im not so fond of owen. autobiographies are indeed very personal and very interesting reads. and a great moral booster too.
i hope you enjoy more books and i certainly hope to hear more from you!

I think the third Harry Potter book is the one that I've read the most.
I've also read To Kill a Mockingbird quite often, and I reread Neil Gaiman's work quite a bit.
Right now I've got a long list of books that I haven't read yet but want to read, so I don't know how often I'll be rereading books for a while.
