What Was The Highest Amount?

I'm sure most of us here have at least bought one item on ebay before and many of us have sold things as well. If you don't mind sharing, what has been the highest amount you've paid to win an auction? And vice versa as well, what's the highest amount you have been able to auction an item off for, if you've sold things?
As for me, I honestly can't remember what's the most expensive win I have gotten.

I once paid $119 for a brand new sealed gameboy advance sp since they didn't sell it in stores before I bought it.

I don't believe I've ever purchased anything for more than $50. That was for a Burberry scarf that turned out jnot to be a Burberry scarf. (I should have known I couldn't get a $200 scarf for $50.00). The most I've ever sold anything for has been $1200. I got that a couple times for etchings and once for a Royal Worcester equestrian figurine. In general, I used to sell much better things on eBay. It's gotten to be much more of a flea market in the last coupole years and like most sellers, we are putting the really good stuff in catalog sales and bypassing eBay.

ive been a member of ebay for almost 2 years now and ive sold about 10 things and bought about 8. i dont remember what was the highest ive bid on an item though recently i bought something for $87. the highest bidder in one of my auctions was for $218, when i sold my phone about 4 months ago.
