We are suppossed to go to a family birthday today, my husband went to help a friend paint today, and he was suppossed to be back in time to leave for the party so we can all go together. The party started 1 minute ago and my husband has not called or anything. Obviously we are already late and the party is 20 to 30 minutes away depending on traffic. Should I wait for him or pack up the kids and leave without him? What would you do? If we leave now we will be late, but not as terribly as if we wait for him.

Does he have a cell phone? I would try to call him first to see what is going on. I would probably leave without him, depending on the friend and the type of party. I would just leave a note stating that we will meet him there. I would do everything I could to reach him first so that he knows what's going on. If he's only going to be another half an hour or something short, I would wait for him.

My husband is 100% of the time late and I hate it..But he would throw a fit if I were to leave without him, or he has the car so we are forced to be late on account of him..Obviously you are all ready gone and maybe even back, so I hope you had a good time anyways, I know how embarrassing it is to be so late..

Maybe you can call him. What kind of party is it? If it's for a kid, and it's going to be more fun for the kids, I would just go. Maybe he can drive up there when he gets back? I'm sure he will understand, maybe he's tired from painting. I think you should just go.
