If you won Millions on the Lottery, would you be comfortable in keeping it ?

A question which I can only speculate upon!
I understand that, if a lottery winner has agreed to publicity about their win, they receive countless 'begging letters' (as they call them) and some of them are quite heart wrenching.
On the same token, we could all ask this same question to the rich and famous.
But, if you suddenly won several million pounds, dollars or whatever, how would you deal with this new wealth - in terms of the letters you would receive?

yes I would keep it And I would be thrilled because I would be able to quit my job and never or hopefully will never have to work again. I would put it all in the bank and I will be getting a lot of intrest every year if I dont spend a lot which I probally will but will still try to have 500,000 in the bank or more.

Just to raise a controversial point, if you/we were to donate a substancial sum of money to a charity, I for one, do not trust that a sufficient percentage of my donation would ACTUALLY be spent on the purpose for which I donated it.
Thanks for your comment,

I would keep my money. I wouldn't even open a single letter if I knew it was someone begging me for money. I'd move, so my address would change, and I would get a bigger house of course. I'd have to donate some of it, because if I didn't I would be attacked by people constantly, plus it's a nice thing to do, but I will do what I please with it.

Hi GT
If I won the lottery, a lot of things would change in my life. Most of my adult life and even growing up, I have had to struggle financially and a couple of times had a small sum come to me as in say, a profit on the sale of a home, and a work comp. settlement. I have no problem sharing with my family because I feel that they have helped me many times in other ways. If I do lend money, I do it without expectations, because If I don't get it back for whatever reason I won't be angry or unhappy. As far as strangers, I would have to let it pass. But at the same time, I have no idea how I would respond. I think we learn as we live.
