preventing eyeline from smudging

I won't go out without wearing eyeliner, but it always winds up smudging on the bottom. I don't think I put that much on for it to smudge, but it loses that 'sharp" look after just an hour or two. Any tips?

You should buy Mac Fluid line or Make up forever cream liner and buy an angle brush. They're really really good eye liners ^^;; they don't smudge or fade.

i used to have that problem-to make it worse,i have a natural crease under my eyes. it would end up in it at some point. i switched to liquid waterproof eyeliner,never had the problem again.

Powder sometimes helps set it a little better. Use a small brush to put foundation powder or an eyeshadow on first. Put your liner on top of the powder and that should keep it in place longer.

Try putting a primer or powder first before applying your eyeshadow or liner... avoid using moisturizer as this will smudge anything you put over your eyes.

I don't use an eyeliner pencil anymore because it always smudged, this is what I do. Take a thin brush and wet it and dip it in your eyeshadow and use that for an eyeliner. I use this all the time and it's great. No smudges and it lasts all day long
