Got 7 referrals for free...unlucky me :(

In last few days my luck is doing good on getting referrals for free. I don't understnad why.
I got one referral for myhpf 
(Without any advertisement)
Also got another for odesk 
( hope that person get job there)
And 7 referrals for treasure surfers
(Without any advertisement)
The last one is a traffic exchange program. I did not know that & signed up for that site. Now i am getting message after a few days that i got a new referral. And it is not only a message. I am truly getting referrals.
Now why unlucky me. Because it is a traffic exchange program. Although it pays via alertpay but i don't like traffic exchange programs. :o
Now if i had got these seven referrals for any ptc sites then i could have reached payout on some sites. :(

Could elaborate the way we could get the referral free. Though it is mentioned it is not clear. But ur clarification will definitely helpful to proceed by other mylotters. Help and get helped by using and writing in mylot
