Why is it that some post get like a million responses but other posts only get one or none? Is it the actual topic that was posted. Or is it the the way the topic post is worded. Or is it the category under which the topic was posted. I have looked through some topics that get a lot of responses and they are sometimes really simple, or really complex. What type of topics do you think generate a lot of buzz?

I think it has to do with the way it was worded. Catchy titles attract more interest. I think that having a great number of friends helps you to receive a bigger number of responses.
