Do you earn $200 or more per month just from online writing?

I have a personal target to earn at least $200 per month from online writing opportunities. I write articles and reviews. How do you think I can achieve this target in just one month? If you have earned this amount or more, would you be kind enough to share your online writing opportunities/websites or tell me your experience? Thanks in advance for responding.

I earn at least $200 per month online. I found most of my online jobs at freelancewriting.com. I have a couple of people who own websites that I write content for regularly, but that's where I found them. I write for AC when I don't have other jobs, but that's not too often. In addition to writing online, I write for print publications, which pay better. I earn something each month from that, as well. Kelly

Thanks for your suggestions! I think I will have to seriously start looking for writing jobs at freelancewriting. How do they pay? Paypal? Print Publication seems to be a good option, but I have not submitted anything to this media as yet.

All the online jobs I've ever taken have paid through paypal. Kelly

I am trying to earn money from online writing. But, I mostly only write poems! And so I just don't earn a lot! I am welcome to all suggestions! And, I will let you know if I find anything! In fact, I will start searching right now! :)

Hi Stanley, I write articles mostly, and such not sure where is the best website for your poems. But like you, will tell you if I know of something. I know you can publish them at Triond, but I doubt that is the best place to publish your poems. If you have a lot of them, why don't you self-publish them?

When I was writing pretty much full time, I was earning more than $100 a month. I never was able to push it to get a better payout however because as a student, I always had a bunch of other things that I had to write as well. I was mainly writing for AC, however I've tried writing new things for them lately and it's become harder and harder to please them it seems and yet I see people that write terribly and seem to get better upfront payment offers than I ever did and I can't figure out why. I haven't written for them in quite awhile so I'm not sure what I would get if I were to write for them on a more full time basis again.

Hi highflyingxangel, I have heard many people getting upfront payment from AC, but the sad part is I don't qualify because I'm not a US citizen. I have about three articles there receiving performance payments. I may need to increase the number of articles I write there in order to earn some regular income there. Thanks for your response!

Hi Sydney. I have been writing reviews for "Review Stream". I could earn $50 per month. That's the most I make there , mainly because of the time limitation. I have also joined AC and Triond , but haven't go the time yet to write there. I suppose if I could devote more time, I might be making $200 per month, I don't know ! Enjoy writing. Have a nice day.

Hi greenline, So, you just write for these three site and can earn $200? Is that right? That's great. My Triond earnings are decreasing, even though I'm adding a few articles every month. I need to write more there I think. I'm going to try a new site as well this month. How I wish have eight tentacles like an octopus, so that I can type at least 4 articles at the same time, but then I would need 4 brains to work those four articles?! LOL!

Hi Sydney, I would love to earn $200.00 per month online, but I don't see it happening at the moment. I would have to find some new sites other than those I write for. Blessings.

I'm also constantly looking for some new sites myself. If I do achieve $200 per month by end of this year, you will definitely hear about it and I will share which sites I write for. Thanks pose123.

A freelance writer could earn more than that on regular sales, but if you want to earn it from submitting to writing sites, I think it is still possible. Submit something every day to several sites and the income should build up over time. You need to promote your articles to get more traffic to them. You can do this by networking and by adding links back to them on other sites. Using good key words in your article writing can bring more traffic to your article pages, so you can earn more from them. I read in an article at Helium that there are some topics that pay out more from page views than others, among these are: Insurance, Finance, Money Saving Tips, and Careers.

Thanks paid2write, building my repertoire is important to make sure my income builds up over time, but I'm seeing a decline in my earnings at Triond even after adding a few articles per month, and quite worried. I have been trying to use keywords to drive traffic, but still learning in this area. Thanks for the great tips on hot topics I can write for, some of which I'm quite interested in. In fact, I have written some on those topics. I will write more on these. Thanks, paid2write!

I recently earned $75 in one month from writing articles on Hubpages alone. If I would take more time and write interesting articles that were really attention getters, I'd probably earn more. My problem is trying to think of a subject to write about that would interest all kinds of readers. I don't write for any other sites and don't understand the difference between an article and a blog. I am happy with the amount I earn simply from one site along with myLot.

I have yet to transfer more of my articles to Hubpages. I have a few written, but not experiencing $75 a month kind of earnings. But it's increasing slowly though. So I guess I need to add more articles there. Thanks for the reminder.

Do you write academic papers? I suggest that you go to the Academia-Research website. You can also find some writing jobs at oDesk. If you have a blog, you can register it on Social Spark so you can monetize it.

Hi BlindMoonGoddess, I have thought of Academia-Research, but I have not gotten around to sending my resume there. I have only recently heard of Odesk and never heard of Social Spark. Can you tell me briefly what how these websites can help me earn money? Thanks so much and welcome to myLot!

Academia-Research presents some projects which the writers compete for. Every finished project is subject to their client's evaluation and approval. You will be paid for your approved work via PayPal. oDesk is an online job marketplace. It provides you a list of freelance writing job opportunities among other things. You need to create an account at oDesk to be able to apply for those jobs (Don't worry, it's absolutely free). You will be required to fill out an online form. You won't need to submit a resume because the site will create an online resume for you based on the information that you will provide them. The more info you give them, the better. You may also upload samples of your work or provide a link to your blog, if you have one, for the prospective employers (they're called "buyers" at oDesk). You can beef up your resume by taking the online tests which are mostly optional. You can choose to display your test scores or keep them private. oDesk is a good website, but if you're going to apply for a job there, please choose employers who are payment-verified and read the feedbacks about them. It will save you a lot of heartache. It's also safer to choose jobs with hourly rates than those with fixed rates because the hourly rates are guaranteed; the fixed rates aren't. You'll be paid either through Moneybookers or through the free oDesk Master debit card. I'm new to Social Spark. But from what I understand, bloggers are given opportunities to earn money by writing posts on certain subjects. I hope this helps.

Thank you so much for the extensive explanation on the three sites. So oDesk don't pay via Paypal, that's going to tough. Will still check out those sites soon. Thanks again for recommneding them here.

I have some other writing sites that I haven't tried yet on my other laptop. Unfortunately it is broken at the moment. As soon as it is back up and running in two weeks I will be glad to send you the links to look over. I am keeping an eye on this discussion to get ideas as well. I keep seeing Ciao come up in discussions. What is this site and how does it work? Maybe promoting the articles you have already written would help raise your income some?

I went and signed up and still can't seem to figure out where to put my review! I wrote a discussion about it if you would please help! As for promoting your stuff. If you have a Facebook you could add it to your feed. Or if you have a MySpace you could post your links as bulletins or in your blog there. People have started discussions here at MyLot with the link to their articles. I know one person who started a myspace just for their writing, they used their pen name instead of their real one. If you write a blog on another blog site, don't forget to add the link there too. There are a bunch of other networking sites that other people use, but unfortunately I just haven't had time to look at them yet.

Ciao is a review site. you can write reviews on many products featured on their website. I'm working on those reviews as well as writing new articles. How do you suggest I promote my articles? I really need help here. Thanks you!

Hi iza, I don't the amount is unrealistic. If I want to make money from home, writing may be the one thing I can do. I know there are some people who can do this, either through publishing it online or becoming a freelance writer. I'm trying to move in that direction. Wish me luck! Thank you for your response!
