My best friend is leaving for good, she will stay in philippine with her daughter, so in this time i cannot visit here because i know my self, if my best friend will leave i cannot say any words except tears in my eye, i told her that i will be not good discission if she will leave, but she keep on telling will be better if she stay there till her baby become big & come back to work. my question is what is the best way to say goodbye to your best friend with out any tears of goodbye.
Thank you for your kind answer & have a happy day to all co-mylotters.

i think not just because she's moving to another country doesn't mean its the end of your relationship. be positive, with today's technology, there are still many ways to keep connected. email, chat, sms, phone. besides, i think that she can still visit you from time to time or you can go for vacation in the philippines?

I agree, but not the same way that we have if we are near each other, specially when the kids are playing , we miss each other the time we been together specially both of us are the same situation when we got pregant, helping to solve each problem.

In two days time I have to say goodbye to two nice friends that I know. I have met them for a short holiday and we have been in contact for the past ten years. It s hard to say goodbyes. It's the saddest part when I am on a holiday. I don't think that there is a best way to give goodbyes. Just give them a hug and keep your promise to keep in touch with them.

I feel so sorry for you. that would be a hard thing for me to have to do. I hate to say goodbye to people that I am close to. I would just have to make sure they know I care and to be sure to keep in touch somehow.

Hello Ohara. I had the same experience as you have four years ago when my American colleague and best foreign friend left us for the US. I saw her off at the airport and we hugged and kisses each other good bye with tears rolling down our cheeks. Nothing could be better than words. I will never forget about the scene at the airport where we parted. Now my friend is working in the U.S, but we still communicate with each other either via email or sometimes by phone. Friendship will never fade. Have a good day, friend.

It's so hard to say good bye to your best friend , but it's fate ,and all what you've got to do is say "good bye" in your way, giving a present wich represents your strong relation , writing a letter wich you transmit the message , ti mustn't be with the traditionnal way !!
