I love to crochet. It is very relaxing and passes the time. I have made several afghans as gifts and they were well appreciated. I am currently crocheting a basket weave pattern afghan for my daughter for christmas. So do you like to crochet? What is your favorite project and pattern?

I don't sell my crochet on ebay. Most of the crochet I have seen on there doesn't get the money that it should. (I was selling my hats for 3 times the cost of supplies, but several friends complained that I wasn't charging enough. I have sold more items since I increased the price.) I sell by word of mouth, and by showing my designs when someone asks about my crocheting. Most of my stuff is designed for kids to young adults.

I've been crocheting since I was twelve years old. THere was a program in school where we would crochet granny squares and then make afghans to donate to different shelters. Now I love to crochet with finer yarns and make table runners and doilies and such.

Wow, that is really neat. My Grandmother taught me to crochet when I was around 10 or 11 I guess. I have made a few doilies, but mostly make afghans. I have a pattern for doggy sweaters that I am going to try when I finish my current project. My poor puppy is ALWAYS cold if it gets below around 75 or 80 degrees. LOL!

I have been crocheting for about 40 years, and I really don't have any favorites. I like doing a variety of different things. I love making afghans, and usually give them as gifts. I also love making hats because they are so quick to work up, and useful, too! I make new hats for my grandkids every winter because they are always losing them, I figure if I make enough hats then eventually they will find one! I sell my hats on Etsy, too. I also love doing doilies. The last afghan I made was in the "coins" pattern (a quilt pattern) and it was a lot of fun to do but it took a while because I had to do an extra row of motifs because my son is so tall. I gave it to him and his new wife as a Christmas/wedding present since they were married 4 days after Christmas.

You still have a few years on me as of yet, but maybe I will catch you...LOL! I bet that afghan you made for your son was beautiful! I have thought about selling some of the doggy sweaters on ebay, but am not too sure how they will go over.

I have finally mastered the bullion/roll stitch. I have been making flowers with the bullion stitch. Flowers are my favorite small project to crochet.

I have a lot of patterns that I have created on my crochet blog. Lots of flowers, hats, granny squares to name a few. I also have a crochet channel on youtube with crochet video tutorials. I am not able to post links here because I don't have enough posts yet. There is a link to my crochet blog posted under my identity.
