Do you prefer shopping online?

I find that there are a number of websites trying to market products online. I would prefer to purchase standard products like software and electronic equipment i wont mind doing it online if i get a good price, but when it comes to clothes i would surely like to go the market and actually try the product get a feeling of the material and only then take a decision regarding the purchase of the product. What do you prefer? Online or actually moving to the market for the product.

For me, it depends on the price. Most of the time when shopping online I already know the product I'm searching for. I usually go online to see if I can beat the price. In a lot of cases you can save the sales tax and get free shipping. In my area sales tax is 9.5% so that's and instant savings right there - especially on higher valued items. If I can save the sales tax and find a better price, then online shopping is usually my choice depending on how quickly I want the product.
There's a great website www.lutlot.com where you can find the same items you find in the retail stores for as much as 90% off the retail prices. If I'm shopping for a $100 item then it just makes more sense to buy it online for $10.

This is very sensible way of saving money and not compromising on the comfort. Thanks for your response.

Not particularly no, I do like how I can find most things there and will shop online if there is something I need that I am unable to find elsewhere. I enjoy getting out of the house and interacting with others which is lacking for me when shopping online. It is more convient if you don't count the waiting, but it is kind of boring in my opinion.

You are right that many a times one needs things immediately and in such cases waiting is surely what one does not want. I am doing some online shopping as it helps me save time and also get some promotional discounts.

Like you, I don't like to buy clothes, bags or shoes online. I have bought some in the past only to find out that they didn't look at all like the catalogue and they are usually too big or too small. I buy quite a lot of items on auctions sites and I when I am not in the humour of going grocery shopping, I can do that online and have my groceries delivered to my door.

I, personally, prefer to shop offline as I like to see the product I am buying or if it is clothes I like to try them on to make sure they fit properly. But my daughter likes to buy from ebay and she buys most of her clothes that way. She has never bought anything, yet, that doesn't fit her but then she has anm average build so she doesn't need to try them on to make sure they fit before she buys them.
She has never had a problem with getting the things she buys except once. About a month ago she bought two tops and a bellybutton ring and didn't get them for some time. She had the seller check to see why she hadn't received them yet and they told her they mailed them to an address in Winnipeg. She asked why when she gave her address as Calgary. They told her they lost her name and address and so they went back to their transaction where they took the money out of the paypal account she gave them and saw my name since she uses my paypal account to pay for them, and my old address in Winnipeg, and mailed them there. Well, it was a good thing that my old address in Winnipeg was at my sister-in-laws house and she still lives there and so she phoned me and told me there were three packages there for me. I had her open them to see what was in them and they were my daughters orders.
She was going to mail them to me, but since I was going to Winnipeg, last weekend, for the weekend I told her to hold them for me and I picked them up and brought them home with me. My daughter then went into my paypal account and changed the address to our new address so if there is a problem again like this one, they have the right address now to send them to. This won't stop my daughter from buying online although it would stop me because I have a problem with trust and I don't think I would trust them again.

I like to shop online too but only for perfumes and inner wear which I use. I always buy on ebay because it is a trusted site and and has a free shipping.I also can bid for the things I wish to buy for a cheaper price on ebay.

I've always prefered shopping on line. I prefer the ability to shop at my leisure from home, than to actually go to stores all over the place. I alos love the selection I am able to get, regardless of what i want. I can order thinjgs from around the world, that I'd never be able to find in Canada.
