My mom used to tell me to put hot water in a glass bottle and then wrap it with a small towel and then place it where it really hurts. But sometimes I just can't bear it anymore, i wish it would just go away.

If your cramps are that bad then perhaps you should see a doctor and talk to him about some muscle relaxants for that time of the month, or perhaps birth control pills. I had bad cramps as a young woman but once I started taking the pill I never had them again.

I sometimes take pain relievers as well. But I just hate when it that always goes back. I hate taking pills. But maybe that's my next step. Thanks a lot for the advice. :)

I think the best thing to do is to take a tylenol or an aspirin. I ahve never been a big cramp sufferer, but that has helped me in the past when I have had cramps or backaches.

To reduce the intensity of menstrual symptoms, you can change your diet: - Less sugar, and lightly more protein. - Diuretic foods such as eggplant, cucumbers and parsley can help diminish water retention. - Calcium supplements (1 gram per day) and magnesium (500 milligrams) can help reduce anxiety (always take both). - Vitamins E and C also help reduce the intensity of cramps. - Aspirin has a mildly soothing effect. :)
