How do you fade scars?

About 2 months ago, I caught a terrible staph infection of my skin, which covered my upper legs and lower arms. Now that it's gone, some of the spots have left brownish colored scars. The skin is mostly even, except for this brown or purple pigmentation. Any suggestions on how to fade these? Good products to use?

Yeah - that's the stuff that responder #1 recommended! I've looked for it, and there's someone on ebay who's selling some. I'm seriously considering getting it, but being vegetarian, I'm concerned that it has some sort of animal fat in it or something. That link you posted is right - I can find out NOTHING about this cream, except that it's sold in the Phillipines!

Hello friend. I used lavender paste to help remove the scar that I have, but it does not help. The scars that I have on my legs are still there and I have no other way to remove it. I have to let it be. I still remember that it is so easy to have the scars removed when I was a kid. I think that it is easier for a kid to have the scar removed?

I definately think it's easier for young skin to heal itself than grown-up skin. I have very pale skin, so any little mark seems noticeable to me. I've started putting a lotion on them that contains tea tree oil along with several other ingredients. My skin is very soft and smooth, but so far, the darkness is still apparent. Thanks for your comments!

In our country, there's such a thing called as "Cebo de Macho". It doesn't smell good but it is proven to make scars fade enough so it won't be seen by the naked eye. You can also use some ointments out in the market that makes scars fade.

Where do you get Cebo de Macho? What are the ingredients?

I think you'll find that the pigmentation fades naturally over time. If the pigmentation isn't too severe, you could try looking for products intended to help to fade stretch marks.
