What's the best prenatal vitamin? We're currently trying to conceive, but the Dr. has suggested that I take a good prenatal vitamin. I tried one from the store, but it made my stomach hurt. Another I tried, the serving size was 6 capsules, and I just wouldn't remember to take all of them. Thanks for the input!

I take the Spring Valley pre-natal vitamin. What you should do is ask for free samples. I know a lot of women have to try at least 2 prenatal vitamins before they find the one that works for them.

You can but your OB/GYN should be able to give you samples.

Yeah, she gave me a sample of one that she really liked, but my co-pay on them was $45/month! I'm CERTAIN I can find something on the market that isn't a prescription that will work for me just as well that costs less than $45/month!

The key thing you need prior to conceiving and in the early months is folic acid. You can get it from your diet (particularly from dark green leaf vegetables), but there are lots of supplements on the market.
Personally I don't think you need additional vitamins over and above the folic acid if you are eating a well balanced diet, but if the doctor feels you need one then your pharmacist should be able to recommend one, or why not ask the doctor who suggested it?
