When my hubby was still in the US, we used to chat with our webcams on. However, eversince he came, I've stopped using the webcam, except when I chat with my bestfriend who's in Cebu, and my relatives who are in Texas. But that isn't very often, though. I rarely spend time chatting these days, unless I need to discuss important things with friends and family members. So nowadays, my webcam is becoming a bit too dusty....

I am one of those people who dispise web cams. To me it takes away the mystery of who you are talking to. I also don't like having total strangers stare at me. You never really know who may be watching. Plus, a nasty experience with a real life stalker several years ago convinced me to get rid of the web cam. I never use one now. Don't even own one.

Actually it's not me, it's my boyfriends mom who usually chat at night with her daughter in Texas USA. Right now her husband is also there and chatting is their means of communicating, they both have webcams so they could see each other. And she can even see her grandchildren, there are three of them 2 girls and one boy. I think webcams are really necessary especially to those who have to go to other countries to work for their family, this can ease the burden they are feeling, the loneliness in a
place where you are all by yourself.

I have a webcam that I never use lol. Not even to speak to friends. I'm not really comfortable having other people see me when I talk to them on it. I usually use my webcam when I'm bored to take pictures. My webcam for my laptop has some cool features though, like time lapse videos. I've never tried it out but one day I will when I get time. I searched youtube to see what they were and it looked really cool.

yeah. it is great to see people who are miles and miles away from you thru webcam. it is like they are just as near as you think they are when you are on with webcam.

When I am chatting with family and friends my webcams is usually on, but when I am chatting with friends or strangers I usually turn off my webcam. I guess I want my privacy at all times especially when I am online. And only family members are allowed to view me online.

I only chat with my love ones. And it is really fun chatting with them using a webcam and microphone. The conversation is more personal. You can see the expression of one another.

i use a microphone when i talk to my friends online because it is easier to communicate rather than type and type just so you can rely your response to the other party.

I have never used a webcam except for back when I was in school. My fiance has though, and when I met him he wanted me to see a picture of him. I didn't have yahoo though, I had trillian so therefore the webcam image would not be accepted through Trillian. I think it's dangerous to use one, but that if you are of age you should know how to take the risk and what could happen.

I used to chat for long time some time back. Now I am busy with my work and i don't get enough time. But personally speaking i don't encourage using the CAM while talking with a stranger. Its not good way to. But when ever i chat with my dear ones who are away from me i love to use a cam because i can see them for some time.

yup. who knows that person might be living nearby and when that person seems to have an interest in you it would be easy for that person to gather informations about you..

I don't like using webcam with anyone coz sometimes it slowens the messenger i am using or maybe this is just because of my inet connection. However, i do suggest to use your cam once in a while. It adds up to the excitement especially if you had some long lost friends and family...but they could get fed up of our face too sometimes...ehe...

well maybe it is due to a low memory of your computer device that is why your system gets low whenever you use your webcam. try checking up the consumed memory and remaining free memory.

Hi, I don't use a webcam at home because I don't have one. In the office where I used to work, I don't use the webcam too except when bosses from somewhere ask you to turn the cam on. When in an internet cafe I don't use it either.

When chatting with my friends, i don't usually turn on the cam. I really have this tendecy to be shy at cameras. I am conscious everytime i knew someone was looking at me at the other side of the world. Sometimes when we chat with my husband, i told him that my cam isn't available even if it is. So i think we really need little privacy.

When I was still in the Philippines, webcam should be present all the time. My hubby wants to see me while we are chatting from the start until the end of the conversation and same with him. We are not comfortable of seeing each other without a cam maybe we are really use of having webcam on all the time. Now, I rarely turn on my webcam. I just turn it on if my mom asked me to turn it on...hehe. I don't want them to see me when I look messy but my mom missed me so I have no choice but turn it on

Nope never had a webcam on my computer. But i do have one on my Playstation 3 because it's used as a microphone for online chatting during gameplay. There's also some programs you can download that lets you have video chat between other PS3 users that have the camera but i hardly use that feature.

There is no way that I would have a webcam on so just anybody could see me. I might if something happened and a loved one had to move away for a really long time or something like that...I think the whole webcam thing is just going really too far...I could never do something like that.
