ha ha ha ha ha... I have definitely never encountered such things before. I am sure the managers of the restaurants here would not allow it. For a restaurant, a fast food one at that, to run out of the main items in their menu, could only mean one of two things. They are selling so darn well that the supplies could not keep up. OR They are cutting back so much, they could not afford to get the supplies to replenish their sales. Either way, it would be a joke, and would definitely make some headlines in the local papers!

well i doubt its them selling out in EVERY case so they are either stupid or cutting back i guess..

Lol. I remember going to KFC to order food and I was starving... When I went up to the counter, I asked for their Famous bowl. They didn't have any. Their sandwiches, didn't have any. So I asked them what they did have. Lol. Chicken and the only part available was either wings or ribs. Great huh? They didn't even have drinks available. I got so irritated that I went out and went somewhere else. Same thing happened to one of the fancy restos we have here. They're famous for making really good barbecued ribs. Well, they didn't have any and most of the things we asked on the list were not available. So... we left.

when they are out of that much stuff you would think they would make a list of what they do NOT have.. i worked in fast food and we did that once.. but we really never ran out of things.. except for ice due to old slow machine

Everything, including service! Yep, last night we went to McDonalds and sat in the drive thru lane for awhile. Finally I noticed the guy in the truck in front of us, at the order box, getting out of his truck. He walked back to us and said the manager had just told him that they were too busy to take any further orders! Can you believe that? They told him to come back later. We, and the cars behind us were shocked. So we left and went elsewhere. Talk about driving customers away!

I wanted a double cheeseburger at Mcdonalds one time and they didn't have the patties for cheeseburgers. They had the other sizes but not those. I really thought that was strange! My husband works as a manager in food service. There has been a few times that something he ordered didn't show up on his truck order when they came so he would have to be on the phone trying to borrow from another store and complaining to the order company. I may be upset with restaurants if they are out of something but I know things like that can happen. I then feel sorry for the people working there that have to tell people they are out and there is nothing they can do about it! Sometimes it's a bad truck order that came, or bad management. I try not to get mad at the person behind the counter.

I once had a craving for chicken wings from Swiss Chalet, a really good place in Canada that specializes in chicken. Well they were out of WINGS!! I was craving chicken wings, and they were out...of...wings!!! It's really irritating when a restaurant is out of its specialty. LOL

A new rest. opened up here and i thought i'd try them out since they were just down the lock from my store..so i ordered a turkey sand... which came with fried Potatoes..well they were out of turkey..(1st day opened)and the potatoes were burnt..i wound up with a bLT and that wasn't very good either...I tried to give them another chance and this time they were out of lasagne so never went back..I always called right when they opened so they couldn't have run out yet..just bad management..they closed after 6 months..I'm amazed they lasted that long..now its a bar..

its amazing how much places can get away with bad management.. im sure the thing helping the places i have gone is that they are a chain and the volume outweighs the problems.. still not good though

Well.. Taco Bell ran out of meat. I was there with 4 kids too and had spent the last 10 minutes in line trying to figure out what they each wanted. Of course what everybody wanted included GROUND BEEF, which they ran out of!! We left because one of them was about to have a tantrum over having to get CHICKEN instead. I don't know why they did not tell everybody in line before we got to the counter that they were frigging out of meat. I have been to Wendy's and heard them say they have no more potatoes, also chili. I went to Applebees one time and ordered french onion soup. Not only did my WAITER NEVER COME BACK, when I complained and a manager arrived, she told me they were out of french onion! Why didn't the first waiter bother to mention that??

Wendy's is my #1 complaint!!!!!!!!!!!! I don't frequent them that often, but when I do...they are out of the baked potatoes. I had my mouth set on that...NOT a salad or Chili. And this has happened in brought daylight...not near closing time....

I pulled into a KFC drive thru at NOON and guess what... You guessed it, NO CHICKEN! There will be a 20-30 minute wait, and the place was not busy. Come to think of it, there was almost no one there... Wonder why? I was so pissed off I needed a box of chicken for one of the boys football picnics. I was assigned 20 pieces fried chicken, had the week from hell, and decided that KFC would have to bail me out. NOT

Well something is wrong with the management of the place if cooks can't cook and count at the same time! I hear what you are saying about getting yelled at. I was a waitress for about 15 years. Until I became dining room manager and had some authority over the kitchen I too would get yelled at for late or cold food.

I used to work at KFC. You think it sucks for you - it's way more frustrating for those of us who had to work there. The cook's job is to keep an eye on the chicken and start making more when it's getting low. Usually, the cashiers have to babysit them. Unfortunately when it gets to be busy and we can't... we run out of chicken. It used to irk me so badly when I would get yelled at because the cook couldn't do their frickin' job.

Oh my gosh, that bothers me so much. I went to taco bell one time and I wanted a chicken quesadilla, because that is all I eat from there. (I don't eat beef) And they were out of the chicken! How is that even possible. They should be prepared for everything. And twice in a row I went to Burger King to find that they were out of Cini Minis. Ok, if it happens once, don't you think they would know to buy more next time? Ahh...

If Pizza Hut is like Domino's they have a different set of dough for each type of crust. The handtossed is completely different from pan and thin crust. Just a random aside. When I worked at KFC we were ALWAYS out of chicken and it drove me INSANE!

I know what you mean. The local pizza hut said they were out of personal pan pizzas. I told them that that was not exceptable. If they did not sale me a personal pan pizza I would not do business with them again. Suprize, them came up with a personal pan pizza for me. Talk about dishonisty!

I guess in each and every establishment problems do occur like that. One of the biggest problem that they could encounter is that they would have problem with their suppliers that their operation would be severely cut and they are forced to have these dishes offered lesser than they should. Well we as customers do not understand that at times, we always think that they must have their endless supply of the good they sell.

My best answer for that is this...they order based on sales. Sales are unpredictable so when a place runs out of epanada's or stuff crust pizza its because there orders surpassed the sales they calculated for. Or what if a shipment was late?? Its rare that i go to a place and there out of something, but when i worked at a McDonald's we ran out of ice. Why because the machine wasn't making it fast enough that people were using it.

This was years and years ago when I was younger but it was that memorable. Our dad took us, the family, out to this "fancy" restaurant. We were all excited as this is the first time we went to that place until we got to the ordering part. Almost everything we wanted, they didn't have it or weren't serving it at that moment. Why would you put it in the menu then? We ended up walking out of the place and had dinner at a cheaper and casual place.
