best friend: Boy or Girl

If your a boy, what gender of a best friend do you prefer, male or female? And if your a gal, which makes a better best friend, a girl you can shop with or a man who tends to be more caring?I personally make friends easier from the opposite gender. But I prefer a girl best friend who understands what a girl like me is going through.

i more prefer a girl to be my bestfriend and now my best friend is also a girl..to have a male best friend for me it a bit difficult because i think it will cause a problem someday. some day i mean is the day when the female friend had a speacial boyfriend or when the guy had a speacialgirlfriend.i always wondering is it can be happen between a man and a girl,they were just bestfriend?what is the boundry between bestfriend and lover?hopefully someone can tell me..^__^

You have a point. There are tendencies for either the two people being best friends and coming from the different gender to develop special feelings to another. And that situation even gets complicated when one of them realizes he/she has special feelings just because his/her best friend had a significant other. Hmmmppp, things could get messy because best friends tend to get jealous at some point.

Hi Chelle i love to make friends of all genders. But coming to a best friend i always prefer same gender as you know we can share all our thoughts all our happiness and all our sorrows with the same gender people. I do believe many people prefer same gender for a best friend.

My best friend is a girl. I don't know but I seem to be able to express and open up better with girl friends rather than my male friends who tend to not open up as much. I consider my best friend one of a kind because we can talk about anything and joke about anything too. She gives me the girls point of view of issues while I can give her the guys point of view. We enjoy each others company very well. We are lucky too that our better halves understand our friendship and lets us be.

I prefer the girlfriend because a boy will never be a good friend but a girl for a boy would be a Best friend.

I have friends of all genders, but throughout my life, my best friend had always been male. My best friend is no longer the male best friend I grew up with, however, but my female lover of five months.
In general, it's easiest to have a best friend of the same gender, because it's easier for the two friends to relate to each other mentally.
