Nude painting and photography, is art or lewd?

[b][/b]Hey people! How do consider nude painting and photography? Art or lewd? For me, it depends on how it is illustrated, captured, expressed, etc., etc.. The church has been consistently against it saying that there is no art on it but pure nudity, exploitation on women, and immorality. Do you agree with this view? How do you consider it? Is nude painting and photography art or lewd?

For me, it depends on the portrayal of the subject matter. I don't see anything wrong with naked bodies, as such. Some photographs and paintings are done quite tastefully, and beautifully, portraying the person, and the human form, as something quite lovely.
