Living our life in this world filled with unfairness and injustices. We cannot change the fact that this life is an everyday struggle. We must have enough courage to handle difficult situation which can lead to stress. Can you please suggest at least the best way for you to handle stress? And how did it work for you?

The most effective way for me to handle stress is to have some time alone, think things over, breathe in and out and start working to overcome it. It's best to handle pressure/difficult situation with a calm approach rather than giving in to stress and panicking all at once. The latter would only result to negative results than when you step back to clear and calm your mind and head on to the situation.

I handle stress by listening to music. Any kind of music, even the loud ones. I also read books when i feel stressed and just want to relax. I also watch TV and dvds and go online and stay online until i feel tired. Basically, doing things that i really enjoy helps me handle stress. Even praying and sleeping for a couple of hours destresses me.

Hey there! There are a lot of ways to handle stress. You can some meditation like yoga. Listen to music that you love listening to, spend time with your family, watch a movie, go to the spa, pamper your self, play with your pets, and many more. Among those stress reliever method that I mention, Yoga works well with me. The world today is very chaotic and thus stressful. After meditating, stretching and sweating my body it gives me piece of mine. And, at night I can sleep well.

I drink lots and lots of tea! I read a good book! I sit in a comfortable armchair and reflect on any issues and how I am going to deal with them. I also like listening to relaxing music to take my mind away from things. Different people handle stress differently I think. Sometimes stress can be good if it helps you to move forwards, whilst at other times it can be bad and, if prolonged, can lead to physical problems. I'm not that stressed anymore, I used to be though and I did have to take time out. I try and focus on positive thinking books now and these certainly do it for me. Andrew

mayrah,
As you have said, our lives are ever evolving with the problems, trials and circumstances that the world may bring. I suppose we just need to face them and be courageous.
I will need to determine just what are problems that I may be facing before deciding on my next course of action. I will need to determine their sense of urgency and how consequential it is to me and to those around me. There are problems although pressing can never be solved up front and will need time and certain other factors to be present. As such, I will do the needful for the moment and carry on with my life.
Even if there are pressing issues, there are times I would avoid charging head on as we need to be aware that there are other people who are directly and indirectly involved. A certain sense of conscientiousness and tactfulness will be the order of the day and most of the time in situations like these we really need to make an effort to be on top of the situation and be looking out of the well into the horizon.
As for stress, I think the best solution for me will be lots of favorite distractions, like having good friends around to socialize and help out. Yes, we may be in a situation, however what makes you think that they might be otherwise. I think in all fairness all of us will have problems and stress, the only difference will be the intensity of the problems and stress. Engaging in my favorite pastimes, activities, sports and even food will suffice that temporary deprived and stressed moment. This I must say will be to each and his/her own.
Lastly, a little good old wise adage will do some wonders too like this one. Live today as if there's no tomorrow and regrets later; and tomorrow will take care of itself.

Hello Mayrah.I have been through a lot of strain and stress throughout my life.At the age of 24 i became a victim of Muscular Dystrophy which was about 38 yrs back. However i did not allow myself to be plunged into depression. I learned Yoga ,which gave me a lot of strength mentally and also gave me the courage to face all difficulties.I also turned to prayer which helped me to calm down. Today, inspite of being confined to a wheelchair i am always positive, smiling, detached and tension-free.Moreover i am unmarried and therefore free from a number of resposibilities which could otherwise have made my life difficult.

the best way to handle the stress after my dasily struggle is to spend some quality time at home with my family and friends...Their unconditional love and concern give me the energy to move on in the most difficult situations also...And listenng to peaceful slow music also relaxes me and refreshes me in a very nice way..
