how important do you think college is nowdays?

is it worth the crazy costs?i know fo so many people who do real well for themselves and never stepped foot in colleage,and i know colleage grads who still stuggle with crappy jobs and cannot stay on top of their bills[incluing thier student loans]i am not agnaist college in any way,but i am curious how today's young adults feel about college?
