I have always been "victim" to this. I'm the type who has a hard time saying "no, I can't". Once, a friend borrowed money and I let him. I thought I was never getting the money back. Good thing he paid me after a couple weeks. I wouldn't want that incident to end our friendship. Now that he tries to borrow, I can now easily say that I have no extra money because I have to buy milk and nappies for my daughter. I learned my lesson because he also borrowed from some of our friends and never paid them back.

Yae,many of us have the same muddle. So I think we should have the courage to say "no",maybe it is not very kind, but sometimes it is a must.

I would actually feel uncomfortable if a friend asked to borrow money from me, because it can lead to a break up of a friendship, unless you truly trust them but even then you have a thought at the back of your mind, will they pay me back? Unless it's a small amount then you can just shrug it off. I guess it also depends on how much money they ask to borrow! Sometimes it can be embarrassing to say no to them, but if they are a true friend they'd understand and probably wouldn't ask you unless they were really desperate.

I really agree with you.Sometimes my friend borrows money from me,and forget to pay it back. And I am confused about this.I feel it hard to ask them to give it back.So I feel unforgettable when people borrow money from me!

I will help my friends in trouble with my heart.Of course ,the condition is that I should have the ability to help my friends. If my pocket is empty ,and could not help him or her as I expected ,I will tell the truth .A friend indeed will understand me ,I think. What's more ,in my opnion ,when my friends want to borrow money from me ,they must first of all learn whether the lender have the money to help them .So they will prepare to be refused. When I want to borrow from others ,I will prepare for refusals first ,so when refusals come ,I will not feel surprised or get angry .

If I do have extra money and I can spare a few to my friend, then I would lend him/her some. I'd consider though if I trust that person or not. If it's just a small amount of money for food or everyday expenses, I'd almost always say yes. If it's quite a large amount, I almost usually say no as I don't usually have that much to spare.

I only let friends borrow money if I know I can give it to them and not expect it back. That way it does not lead to upset or arguements over repayment. I refuse to let a good friendship fall to pieces over the evil money issue. Things happen people may not be able to repay back, and therefore if I do not expect it back then I do not get upset. If a friend pays me back then that is fine too.

If a person is my good friend, I will try to give the money required by him. This is just because I feel that I must try and help a friend and the free in need is the friend in deed. I would not bother stretching myself little if I am in shortage and if I do not have enough money to help him.
I know that a friend of mine will ask me for the help only if it is extremely required my him. If we cannot help a friend then what is the meaning of having money with us?
