I have seen these emails in the past, but haven't gotten one lately. My kids are thinking about doing a project on the phenomenon of the brain finishing words in a sentence, but I can't find out what it is called. I.E. Tday is the bst day! It is gong to be snny and wrm. Our brain automatically does a spell check, and we are able to read the sentence. Any comments on this would be greatly appreciated! Thanks!

It is really amazing what our brains are capable of doing...and the scientists say that we are using just a fraction of them! WOW! Thanks for the response! have a nice night!

I'm not sure what that is called. I know exactly what you are talking about though. they do it in trials before a judge also when they have to type really quick. I always called it shortwording.

That is a good term. I know that I have heard/seen the scientific term somewhere, but can't find it on the internet! I must be looking in the wrong places. THanks for your response!!!

Mobile phone adicts would call it 'predictive text'. I'm sorry that I don't know the answer, but I supect that it will be somewhere within Wikipedia.
