How to get Someone off Drugs?!?1

I have a friend who I have been close with for countless years at a time. We have been best of friends since we were little. For some time now he has been into alot of marijuana and he cannot get off. I stopped talking to him. I tried talking to him so much. His parents caught him smoking it too. He even influenced others into smoking it aswell. I made him quit so many times but i guess he is too stupid. Honestly, He rather be more cool with marijuana than with me. I really can careless for his friendship back. What should i do now?

well now, you say he CANNOT get off Does he himself even WANT to get rid of MJ ? Sounds to me like this is something YOU think is bad, not your friend himself. MJ is not addictive, I've smoked myself and liked it, and I have other things I smoke as well, I do it by choice and conviction, not because I'm addicted. I would look more into why YOU need your friend to stop smoking, and cannot accept him as he is. I like MJ smokers, they're usually funny, relaxed people. Peace :)
