What things can distract you when you're working on mylot?

Hi everyone!
Mylot is really an addictive site and everyone can attest to that? There are users who can mylot all day long and in between mylot can still do other things like cooking, taking care of kids, watching TV and many many more. But is there something that can distract you and can't make you think and post?
Mine would have to be when I'm watching DVD. A while ago we just watched a movie and I was so confident that I can still work on mylot and won't be distracted cause that usually never happens to me but I was surprised. I am log in on mylot while watching but was not able to make any post or even read one discussion. I was really distracted with the movie and now I guess this would be my last post cause I'm about to go sleep. Too bad and maybe I won't be earning for this day.
How about you guys? What can make you stop mylotting even just for a while? What can distract you when you're working on mylot?

Hi and welcome to myLot.
Just start quality discussions and respond with quality as well.
Posting photos that are not copyrighted also earns you a little more.
In time you'll get the hang of things here and earn decently for your writing etc.
Have fun and enjoy your time on myLot.
make sure you read the guidelines etc as well.
Reading this will help you learn what not to post etc as well.

I am distracted from Mylot often by my cat (who climbs on the computer and interrupts my work when he wants attention). Someone knocking on the door or an important phone call coming in will distract me as well.

I agree that MyLot is kind of addictive and the things that can distract me from posting here in MyLot would be texting friends.
When my friends tried to message me stuffs regarding work or just whatever, I get distracted and focus on messaging. I would literally stop MyLotting and start after the texting is over. Well, that happens often in one day so imagine how distracted I am always.

Oh that seldom happens to me nowadays, texting friends? They don't have lots of credits to text or call hehe
. But the texting was by YM chat. But it's ok cause I make my status invisible sometimes haha but would still get back on them after I mylot.

It's ok! I hope there will come a time wherein the computer just scans your memory and types everything that you were thinking. In that way, no more missing words. hehehe.
About the credits, most of us here in the Philippines is on unlimited texting. So messaging a lot is not really a problem.

i get distracted by the phone ringing or the dryer bell going off and knowing if i do not take the clothes out of the dryer they are going to be wrinkled. also my husband distracts me when he is home from work and he drives me crazy because i cannot get my things done.

Hi! I also find my brothers and sisters sometimes distracting. They would talk to me and invite me to play wii or watch a DVD especially at nights. Even if I would say no they will still play or watch and that will distract me until I will stop mylotting.

Your right mylot is a addictive site, sometimes i do get distracted , not by my own but my brother will come and tell me that he needs to do power points for his projects at school , i dont have a choice other than to take a break as there is only one pc at home , i think if i own a new pc then i can be 24/7 available in mylot :) sometimes it would be my mom calling me to help her in some house chores i do go that time only those time im really distracted while am working here

This place, just like you said is VERY ADDICTIVE! But I love it!!
There are so many distractions for me, knowing that I should be doing something else, taking care of kids, doing email, doing laundry, mopping floors.
I get up in the morning, clean and then power up my computer and then I head for here. Bad thing is I can have this site up all day but never get lots done at least not as much as I should as there is always something to do with little ones in the house. So any breaks I take, I take in front of the computer.

Hi! I always do all my house chores in the morning. I try to finish everything so I I can spend the rest of the day mylotting. But if ever I still have to do somethings like prepare food for lunch and dinner and feed my pets, after that I always get back on mylot and respond until I the end of the day.

Alot...from music to my kids, television and so much more...but after that i get back to mylot again. I am easily distracted by anything even at work. When i saw some friends i will log off to phone and have a chat with them! Heheh thanks and happy mylotting!

The thing that distracts me when mylotting is my blogging. I am visiting blogs, posting entries, and replying comments. Sometimes I don't mylot for a couple of days because of some chores and duties.

well one thing that distracts me from mylotting is the television and texting. with television, when there are scenes that i like i would stop myself from typing and finish the scene that is being shown. when done, that is the time i continue typing on. with my cellphone, it beeps when somebody sends me a message and there i stop from typing again. hahaha! but this doesn't stop me at all. after being distracted, my attention is back to mylotting again. i can even sit all day when i have no work just responding to comments and responses i get with the discussions i create.

During sunday is my free time so i spend almost of my time here in mylot. The one that distruct me is when i need to eat because i am hungry or i need to go in the bathroom, or there is unexpected guess who visit our home, or my sister wants to use the computer so i need to stop. Those are just a little things that can distruct me and sometimes stop me from doing here in mylot for i lose the momentum already.

Always I put my heart in mylot,but it is a little hard for me to understand the discussion because my poor English. I try my best to know everyone and to express myself exactly,I hope i can make a progress through my lot.
