I have 2.
The eldest is now 17-a girl.
The youngest is now 16-a boy.
The girl is taking up Pre-school Education in a Jesuit ran University
The boy is 3rd year high school in a school ran by Paulinian nuns.
They are both good children. Very quiet and respectful.
They are very close to me and to their dad.
We discuss all things they like. They are very open to us.
My husband and I decided to have 2 kids only so we can take care of them very well. So we can send them to good schools and provide things that they need.
how about you?Would you want lots of kids? Lots of kids will be nice. But we are worried we might not be able to provide enough.
We love our children very much.

Life would be better if the youngest would listen and do what she was told at least once in a blue moon.. she's so demanding and thinks she can run everything, do what she wants and everybod should bend to her. This kid is a pain in my behind.. the oldest is cognitive disabled but listens well and is not a problem except when she needs to learn something she doesn't want to learn.. but I love em :)

Please do not give up on her. Soon, as she surpass the so called "rebellious" stage, she will realize how she had been with you and with her life. Our culture is different from yours I know but Im sure, she will turn out well as long as you will continue to be with her no matter what.
As for your eldest,I know you will be able to provide guidance well. I am a reading specialist. I do reading intervention for reading difficulties before it proceeds to reading or learning disability, so I know how it is to deal with kids like them. Just have patience. If you ran out, take a breathe and give more room for patience.
Im hoping for the best for you and your children.

I have two children with a large age gap between them. My oldest son in 13 years old and he is in Year 9 at secondary school. My youngest son is 16 months old and he goes to play group. I would really love to have a daughter as well. I wonder if I will ever have one. My older son is very good at Maths, History and Science. He is gifted in art and design. My younger son likes to play with small balls that he rolls along the floor. He has spina bifida so he isn't able to walk. He can now sit up and crawl around combat style. I love my children very much and have room in my life for a daughter in the future if she is born.

You have wondeful sons max. and gifted as well. You are blessed. Your youngest will do fine. Basing on your started discussions, I can see that you are a good mother and a happy mother too. Those too are enough for a mom to raise her children well. I hope too that someday a daughter will come. Either biological or a gift coming from God.
Have a good life Max.

I have 3 sibs and my husband has 10. yes, 10! it was hard for not only for their parents but for them. They were very poor then and with 11 kids! Terrible. For my part, my parents raised us well as we were 4 yrs, 5 yrs and 8 yrs apart from each other.
So now, we decided just to have 2. tnx for sharing.

We have two little ones. One is 3, almost for and I have an 11 month old who will be a year old at the end of this month. We won't be having anymore. I would dearly love to have more, but honestly we just can't afford too. Between clothing and feeding, diapers, formula, not too mention all the little extras like family outings and toys it would just not be wise to have another one. Not to mention, college to save for, cars to buy when they want to start driving. We want our little ones to have a good life, not have to do without because we were, in a sense selfish, and wanted a bunch of children. I see those tv shows about people who have 16 or 20 kids and I wonder how they do it. How can they afford it, how do they bond with so many children, how do you get each the special attention they need. I think if you can afford to have alot of little ones, then go for it. But if you can't then be thankful for the little ones you've been blessed with and give them the best life you can.

Amen to that. Well said kymommy. Fun it is to have lots of kids but even multi millionaires, complain how hard it is to support and provide good future for the children. I see you have young kids. Enjoy the most out of them. yes, we want the best for our children. My daughter is now asking for a car. She will be able to get a license next year. We provide both of them now with a car and a driver, but they are asking for their own. Here, we can afford drivers and maids. Common households have driver and maids. Our kids are very protected and not allowed to work thats why we work hard for them. I pity those little children who, even at 4 or 5 years old need to work or beg. They are a common sight here. I cannot bear to see them, its like I can see my own children. Really breaks my heart.
Have a good life.Enjoy the kids.tnx for sharing.
