I love this new hit by Ne-Yo.. I am quite sure that this song has a girl version way before Ne-Yo's.. Who did the vocals on the girl version?!?!

I haven't heard the Ne-Yo version, as I'm in the UK, so can't be sure if it's the same actual song - but Kelly Clarkson from American Idol had a hit called Miss Independent a few years back (I think it was one of her first).

Kelly Clarkson's Miss Independent has a much of a rock-like interpretation of the song and it is different than Ne-Yo's.. Try to hit YouTube and see Ne-Yo's own version

hey, the girl version is lil bit's "forget about me". she's kinda not famous, but i think she and ne-yo have the same producers or something. hope it helps. have a nice day. :D
