A question about survey sites.

I've noticed a big number of people are members of more than one survey site. How is it possible for them to make money on more than one? I've read somewhere, on a survey site that if you get caught doing the one survey on one site, then doing the same one on another - your account will get deleted without question.

Different survey companies send different surveys so I am yet to come across different companies sending the same survey
