There was recently a little gurl ,young in age whom went missing in the early morning, and the parnets had to phone the police, the thought of that makes me upset, but you can be the best parnet in the world and things like this can still happen, what would you do if something like this has happened to you or someone you know??

It is like you say you can be a very good parent and things can still happen to your children. Obviously measures can be taken to prevent such an occurance but sometimes these things can and will happen I cant imagin how the parents must have felt, i have 2 children myself and once my daughter who is 3 wandered off whilst we were in the supermarket and i have never been so scared in my whole life, it was a truly terrifying experience and i wouldnt wish it on anybody i hope there was a happy outcome here and the child got back to her parents safe and sound

It is quite a shock if this ever happens to you. I have two kids and when they were still babies I was really afraid that I might lose them in the mall. But even if we take all precautionary measures things like these do happen. Before leaving the house I always make it a point that I talk to my kids and tell them not to leave my side and not to talk to strangers. Both kids have identification tags sewn in their clothing just in case I lose them in the crowded malls. I've also taught my children to say their full name, their parents name and our phone number to a police man or a security guard if for example they get lost. But regardless of this I still keep an eye on them when we're in the mall. I don't let them go. Even if I have shopping bags to carry I make sure that I have their hands with me.

You are talking about my absolute nightmare. I fear losing my child in a mall, in a crowded place and for me to lose my child from my own home is unthinkable. Shocking!!

hi yosista yes indeed all parents can do their very best yet accidents can happen. I shudder to think if that had happen to me, but I know that I was scared sick once years back when I was shopping with my youngest child and my mom and sister. I had had little lisa's hand in mine, but paused to look at something and bang she was not there. I was frantic as I combed the whole store, along with my mom and sister. I was on the verge of calling the police when one of the clerks hurried up to me and told me she thought she had foung my missing little girl. sure enough my Lisa Rose was curled up sound asleep on a pile of yardage under the fabrics counter. Oh I was so glad and I picked her up and hugged and hugged her. Never again would I not keep my hand on hers when we were out.'that was a long time ago but I still remember how very frightened I was.
