Okay it came to my attention by a few of my friends that a recent discussion of mine was deleted...I'm looking at the guidelines and I see no offense in what I did. The discussion was only up for about an hour, then poof! I was recommending another resource to make extra money and in these economic times heck, we can all use extra money...BUT I DID NOT, REPEAT DID NOT leave any referral links to this other place. I had asked fellow MyLotters and friends if they were interested to PERSONALLY contact me..as I did NOT leave a link to this other place. How many times can I say that? I see plenty of people talk about PTC sites or other sites and money they earn, and they too don't leave referral links, and their discussions stay up.. So..what the frick did I do wrong? Can someone enlighten me? Have you ever had a discussion deleted for no reason and you DID follow the guidelines... I'm so teed off...I just wanted to help people here...what is WRONG with that????

It has happened to me too. For the same reason as yours. I just know that when I come back to log on the site, my post number has decreased. For what???????? I did not do anything wrong. I will have to bring this to myLot's attention is this is being kept up. I want the answer to this question as well Thanks for bringing this discussion up!

I can understand why some discussions do get deleted, but like I said I read the guidelines and I didn't violate anything. Sheesh

I have no idea what is going on. MyLot needs to get its priorities straight. There was a flame war involving someone & a bunch of Pinoys (Philippines) & this one member who just made a joke that turned into a misunderstanding. It sure took a while for anything to get cleaned up with that, & someone even pretty much walked out of MyLot. At this time, a bunch of Obama supporters have pretty much decided that those who do not support Obama are a bunch of idiots & liars, etc, & pretty much sparked off flame wars. One Obama supporter even had the guts to copy & paste copyrighted material from Associated Press - probably from a news site, & it took a while for that to finally get deleted.

Urgh..Politics..I refuse to get into that whole arena in the first place here....I can tell who are the die hard Obama supporters and who are the die hard McCain ones..so I leave it alone ESPECIALLY with friends of mine.

My dear dear Pye-I noticed that too..when I read the guidlines a while back though it said if you put a word in there they thought was out of place it would be deleted..I saw nothing wrong with your discussion but don't forget it is near payout time again..wether or not a few other peoples discussions will be deleted I don't know. At the moment I haven't had any deleted..wish I could enlighten you more but can't...hugs littleowl

Ah,yes it's that time of the month again here...wonder if someone here suffers from PMS...LOL Maybe that could explain discussions deleting for no rhyme or reason

I have the same problem as you, but I can not see where I have broken any rules or guidelines. And I can't even really remember the questions that I asked either. They should send you an alert when your discussions are deleted and let you know why so that you can't do it again and you can let other people know not to do it as well.

Unfortunately in all the time I've been here one isn't given a reason why discussions are deleted especially if they clearly are not violating anything.

Hi pye! I've had loads of responses deleted because I openly criticized Mylot! ahh well C'est la Vie! the only thing I could recommend is to copy paste the entire post as you're writing it, to notepad. Then if there is some problem you can send a msg to Mylot admin with the full post and hopefully you'll get an explaination .(well maybe a snowballs chance in hell)

That might not be a bad idea about making sort of a copy of one's discussion...better yet I could store a copy/paste of it into my email, send it to myself..LOL..but would still have a copy of it.

hi pyewacket I just dont understand mylot admins at times. like you say there are a lot of other discussions quite similar and yet the mylot admins. did not delete them. I have never had it happened to me but several of my other friends have had their discussions deleted too yet other similar discussions were not deleted at all. so what gives mylot admins?

I don't understand things either Hatley...sheesh I was only trying to give a lead especially to fellow writers of another great place to write that pays ... jerzgirl...you're right...I've seen tons of discussions about people bragging about how much they earn here, there and everywhere...and they don't get deleted. I wasn't bragging..I did mention as a by and by what I've earned at the other place but it wasn't the main focus.

I'm beginning to believe that there are some people who are targeted by others looking for a reason to take them down. All the others who post referral links and evidence of payout, etc, that we know day by day are ignored aren't in their sights yet. Just certain people. It's like school tattletales who are always watching people so they can tell on them - and often they go after the ones they have a beef with. Nine times out of ten, though, it's jealousy more than anything else.

The Ciao discussion got deleted?? I hadn't even got to that yet!! But, I think Mykl might be one to something. I haven't posted a banner yet in my profile, but I plan to. I think maybe because the only action you were asking of people was to PM you - at least, I think that was the only thing - and that didn't amount to a discussion. But, I'm just guessing based on Mykl's explanation and my initial reading of it in the notification. The other possibility is that others who are already using Ciao don't want anyone else getting referrals they want for themselves, so they are making an effort to eliminate the competition. My friend DreamWeaverJan is also a member there and she got me in. She cashed out BEFORE October, so she's waiting for her POP in PayPal. You and I have to wait until November (maybe in time for my birthday???), but we'll know when she gets hers.

I've seen plenty of people talk about other sites and if they want further info to PM or email them or if they have a link on their profile to go there....I thought that was acceptable...

Still makes no rhyme or reason...and yes, did get your email. Since everyone, but everyone is looking for ways to make extra money I would think we would help each other out rather than having petty jealousies that we might be "stealing" people away from each other...how absurd and childlike

It is, and yet.... If the dividing line between "see my profile for a profile link" or "PM me for a profile link" and a give and take discussion is blurry, they might take issue with it. Yet, for the most part, we all know they don't read each and every discussion we post. Someone somewhere has to report them, and report them in sufficient numbers that they do something. And, even then, I don't think they read them - they often delete perfectly good discussions, which I thought yours was, simply because they've received complaints. I still think it's an auto-delete program where if they receive complaints from "x" numbers of different members, the discussion is deleted, even if no one sees it. I can't imagine myLot admin being up 24/7, unless they've got mass quantities of moderators capable of perusing literally hundreds of thousands of discussions, responses and comments every day. That is why I'm leaning more towards an orchestrated and targeted attack against anyone saying anything about a site they've found that makes money. All that takes is a handful of people with irregular hours keeping tabs on the money making interests to make sure no one but them can make use of myLot as a referral treasure trove. As far fetched as that sounds, there are countries who participate where a few myLot dollars goes a long way compared to where we live. It's not impossible. When you see what I sent you, you'll see why I'm thinking this.

Hi pye, I didn't find anything wrong with that and I couldn't understand it either, I have had my responses deleted though but that is a mystrey as well, I suppose we have to be careful in what we write or word it different ways. Good luck. Bright Blessings. Tamara

I have seen plenty that have had their referral link in them and they were NOT deleted. I have put my blogs link in here many times, sometimes it gets deleted and most of the time it doesn't. I think it depends on who is moderating this site at the time. I have seen many post in here that should have been deleted but wasn't. Any way since I am on your friends list you can send me the info. I like to know when anyone finds a program that may help us make a few extra dollars. I thought a social site with topics like "Make extra money" or the other "Money" topic here was for that purpose, To help others know where they could do that. Oh well sometimes the rules only apply to some of us but not all. Or they just fail to catch those.

someone suggested here that maybe since I did put it under the making money interest that they didn't want the competition..that maybe I was "stealing" potential friends of theirs who are friends of mine from here joining up...but isn't that the whole purpose of having such an interest group..to help others out here to maybe earn extra money...can't figure it out.

Nothing is wrong with that. I am always puzzled when in the morning when I notice that I lost posts over night but I never know why or which discussion I was responding to. It would be nice to be told what was wrong so we do not make the same mistake again. It is very frustrating sometimes.

I may not have seen the discussion that you are referring too, as I have been absent from here for the whole of the day and I am also so far behind on here that I am drowning under all the unanswered discussions that I have. Anyway, I see it all the time, discussions that just disappear and yet do not seem to have broken a single rule, sometimes it is hard to know what we can talk about. I, to be totally honest do not have a clue if any of my discussions have been deleted, I do not think so, but I guess I would be rather miffed if one did and I did not think I had done anything to deserve it.

hello friend, i am sorry to hear that your discussions are deleted. In fact, everyday, mylot system will check all members' topics or responses whether or not are sutable to their policies. I think many people have the experience to feel unfair to themselves when their discussions are deleted.for me, i remember once mylot deleted my 18 responses without any alerts or wanings to me. I am also confused about it. but my friends said it is normal.so i never care about it now.just try to finish my discussion without conflict to mylot guideline. That is what we can do here. don't worry, my friend. as long as we keep moving.don't mind the little loss.thus, we will feel happy to post here.lol good luck

It's not so much the mylot system that checks for discussions that may not be suitable, but the trolls here for some reason deem the discussion unsuitable...if a discussion is reported at least three times (usually by disgruntle members for whatever reason) it automatically gets zapped without it being investigated into by the admin. This wasn't a little loss though, my discussion was reaching out to help people here.
