computer virus

I just use the protection that came with my computer. I also use Firefox browser which is supposed to be safer and it's definitely faster with less crashes. But, if I feel there might be a virus my other protection didn't catch, I run Spybot search and destroy. It's free, try that maybe that will help. www.spybot.com

install NOD32 it's my favourite & it stalks viruses when they try copying themselves anywhere on ur hardisk & removes them..uses a powerful method of identifying viruses in two way virus-signature bust..formatting would be a bad solution ..u can get used to format the system drive to install new operating system..but don't ever get used to format the whole hardisk coz that's a total loss of files u might never backup..i bet u don't want that

Maybe you just misplaced your files? If not, I suggest reformatting your hard disk first before installing an anti virus since every anti virus are flawed and can't completely clean your Computer. By the way I am using Kapersky 2009 edition as my anti virus/spyware/malware. works fine for me...
