How does your cat wake you up in the morning?

My cat stands outside my door and screams
at the top of his lungs in the morning time.
So, there's no way to sleep. Not sure why I keep
the door shut, cause I can hear him from across
the house.
Sometimes, my cat, EB, will get shut into the room
with me.
When she is ready to leave, she wakes me up by
prancing all around the bed in an urgent manner.
From experience, I know better than to ignore her.
She's more than happy to pick a corner, if you
know what I mean.
Anyway, what cute things does your cat do to
wake you up in the morning, when you'd rather
be sleeping?

Oh my! That's almost funny but I guess when you're trying to get a few more winks of sleep it isn't. I have rather subdued kitties...they don't wake up (and they usually are on my bed sleeping with me) until I wake up. The moment I do get up though, they follow me into the kitchen

I have two cats one Sammy wakes me up by sniffing my nose. Her whiskers wakes me up. She sleeps with me at the head of the bed all the time. The other one walks on me and will kneed with her claws she is not declawed so she wakes me up. The other day she was laying over my hip and woke me up kneeding on my butt!

Josie rubs her face on my mouth and nose and chin. I wake up with a mouth full of cat fur. She also walks on me. Sometimes she scratches the sides of the windows or knocks things off my night table. She is very busy in the mornings.

Not surprisingly!
Cats secrete hormones from the face, cheeks, forehead, etc.
So they are always rubbing each others face in those areas.
Guess they figure humans are the same.

one of my three slams into my chest to wake me up as soon as he hears the alarm.
i know it's overexcitement on his part,so i'm not mad at him,but i wish he'd find another way to greet me

My cat just comes up on to my bed and purrs. He looks into my face. He's quiet until I say something when he hears my voice he knows I'm awake and he will start talking.
He wants me to take care of his needs as soon as I am out of bed. His food and or water is first. Once he is satisfied with the amount of food and water in his dishes I am allowed to eat breakfast.

Does racing lil elephants crashing into stuff and racing around the house in the wee hrs count as a wake up call?!?! The Elephant Races most certainly wake me up and I can't stand when they do it especially when I need me sleep KWIM? So when folks ask me why I'm tired I say I got to listen & watch the Elephants Race last night, as who'd think lil kitties could make such big noises running around in the middle of the night they sound like a herd of Elephants racing.

My cat doesn't wake me up, since she is an outdoor cat. But as soon as she hears one tiny sound in the house she starts meowing really loud for her breakfast. It's supposed to be my sisters responsibility, so if I get up first, the cat screams at me anyway. She has this meow that sounds like she is almost crying, but I know she is just doing it that way because she is impatient and always wants her own way. She is far from starving, she's actually quite plump.

LOL I wouldn't call it cute, I'd call it annoying. I have several cats. Unfortunately at least two of them like to climb all over me meowing loudly in the morning. They know they get canned food (to supplement the dry stuff) and they know when I get up they get fed. So, THEY decide just when that will be! I've tried ear plugs, but I can still hear them and they will walk over me over and over again until I get up anyway. Very annoying when trying to sleep. So I usually get up, toss on a robe, wander in to the kitchen to feed them, let dogs out, then go right back to bed to sleep awhile longer.

I wake almost every morning to a purring sound and a warm fluffy little creature. One of my cats sleeps on my bed and likes to wake me up by purring in my ear while dozing on my pillow. Some say you shouldn't let animals on your bed but I can't help loving it although I have to use the "miracle brush" on the sheets each day. She's worth the trouble.

My cat likes to grab a mouthful of my hair and give it a tug. If that doesn't work, she'll stick her cold nose in my ear. I think she spends too much time thinking up irritating ways to wake me up! If I reverse the favor & wake her up, she has a very angry expression that she shares with me.

My cat gets up on my bed, walks on my stomach and lays there with her face like a few inches from mine. If I don't start to pay attention to her she puts her paws on my chin or on the side of my neck and readjusts them periodically so I feel her paws on me. OR, she'll pick a spot to lay (like right behind the back of my knees) that makes it impossible for me to change positions without moving her. hahaha. cats are so funny.
