Oh!! no, I don't like to clean up the cat's mess. that's true, when our cat throw up, or make mess anywhere in the house, I play deaf and blind.. As if I don't see it. Hubby will to do it. He never force to do too it because I really don't and it might turn into an argument if he will force me to clean up. I feel nauseated cleaning that mess. Oh goodness!!! I have a friend, who loves to do that. All the urine and dirts of the cat she manage to clean it. Not me, I really don't. Just let me do other things than that.
what about you? are you the ones cleaning the mess or you cat? or let somebody do it for you.
Just interested to hear your experience.

Yakkk! I don't like cats Bebs and one reason is the smell of their mess! I hate it so eversince I never had taken cared of cats. Actually if I were to choose, I don't like to take care of any animals in my household except dogs (of course because they are watching our house). I hate the mess so much. I don't like my household to smell like a zoo. Even with dogs, I always tell my son to assure that the mess is well taken cared of. It's either my husband or my son who does the cleaning but at times, when alone in the house, I'm forced to do it myself. But like you, I also do not like this job. I love gardening more than taking care of pets.

hahah!! we are pretty much the same my friend. I do love tending the garden than cleaning the mess of any animal. Yucky!!! smelling like a zoo? hahahah!! I hate it. Here in America, most people have cats or dogs in their house. Not one but plenty. And they will spend money for their animals like taking them to the vet.. regularly.
the shots were expensive when they go to the vet. Sometimes, they will spend money for their animals to go to the clinic than spending money for themselves to have their own personal check up. In short, they love their animals very much sometimes more than themselves.

Yes, my friend. I am wondering why these people are so concerned with their cats and dogs while in the Philippines I remembered some people who even kill dogs and eat the meat of it. They then said that dog meat tastes good than other meat. But here in America, no body is allowed to kill dog for meat. You will be in court if you will do that because the owner will sue you. hahahaha... but in the Philippines? oh!! these animals, cats and dogs are just nothing unlike how they treated animals here. I remember when our cat sneak our food, we spank the cat and let it be out of the house.. but here, they love their cats very much they even sleep with the cat. I have an American friend here who did that. she has 10 cats, because she keeps on adopting run away cats and she spend lots of dollars for the food, medicine and even the house for the cats. My goodness!! I can't imagine why some people are like that.

LOL, you took the words right out of my mouth. Sometimes when sleeping or "pretending to be asleep" I hear one of my boys (cats Spike and Boo) doing that awful retching sound and you know what is next . . . so I pretend not to hear it and let my husband take care of business. It is only fair as I have their litter box right beside my desk in my office and since I get that chore, he can at least do the other. Thanks for the comments.

a cat litter box beside your desk? oh!! I can't stand that!!Our cat litter is place in the hallway of our 3 BR house. which means, when visitors come and go to our kitchen area, they will pass be the cat litter which sometimes smells awful.. what I did is just to spray freshener in the area when the smell seems unbearable. LOL.

It is only bad in the morning. I do medical transcription and my home is really small. This is the only place that works. I also have fish and a snake in my office! I have found a new cat litter (Arm and Hammer Natural which works really great) I also have covered litter box with a filter on top of it, so not so bad really. Where I used to live I had a in/out door for the cats, but now in the new neighborhood, a little scared to let them outside. Too many dogs around the neighborhood, and many not on leases all the time. Hate to lose by "babies" Boo and Spike now. They're both around 15 years old. Thanks

I have no pets in our apartment, and if we did I'm not sure if I;m going to clean it! Maybe I will if I have no other choice. Back when I'm not married my sister was the one who clean up all the mess, lol. My sister is great when it comes to cleaning. Thanks

Hi Bebs,
I hate it too but I grew up having cats all the time..LOL! SO, whenever will see the mess will clean it,,It's like a policy in the house before but not really a policy, just like an instinct to everyone! LOL!
SO, I hate doing it but I have tried it several times...I will cover my nose so hard as I will clean it since it has a strong smell really! LOL!
I am glad we have no cats here! LOL!

Hi Che, we have cats in my mother's house and they usually poo in the dirty kitchen area where we put our "kalan" and it made my mother mad. She will spank the cat and impose a discipline that the cat would never do it again. when I am having my own house, I am not having pets at all. The main reason is I don't want to keep the mess of the animals. I don't want my house to smell awful!!!

What if you have no choice? I had no choice. Whether I like it or not, I had to clear the mess. My Mom had agreed to have cats in here on that condition. I clear the mess! I agreed of course, and if you don't think much about how much it stinks and how ugly it looks, it is easy. It gets done in a few minutes too. Luckily for me, my two cats are well behaved. They no longer poo or pee or puke inside the house as they used to when they were little. They use the wide outdoors for that. :)
Cheers and happy mylotting

I don't know of cats exposing their mess. I know cats to dig a hole and cover whenever they do their thing. Why don't you buy a cat litter and train he/she to used it. This is quite a cleaner environment for both you and the cat.

yes, we have a cat litter where the cat pee and poo but the cat throw up!! he will not go to the litter box to do that? he will just vomit anywhere in the house.. specially when the cat gets sick..in my country when the cat get sick, we will find herbal medicine for the cats but let them stay outside the house. The will not make mess inside. But here? e have indoor and outdoor cat. The inside cat is not allowed to go out and the outside cat is not allowed to get in. Well, no problem with the outside cat.. the problem is the inside. He is always sick and we spend dollars for this cat.

If I ignored it, it would stay there forever. So yes, I clean it up right away. I have no wish to have cat vomit sitting around my house until someone feels like cleaning it up! Yuck!

I hate cleaning cat mess too. It is so gross and i feel like throwing up. Just smelling the bad odor from there poop makes me puke. But i cant also stand seeing the house so gross with the cats mess on the floor. So what i normally do is wear gloves and cover my nose with surgical masked when im cleaning it

hahaha!! well, I never do that. I will let my hubby do it or his daughter do it...She is already 16 and she knows how to clean for sure but she is just lazy doing it sometimes. I never do that and she does when she gets home from school. I told her already that I will also throw up when I will clean the mess of animals.

Haha I was the same way!!! Last year we got a kitten (which was my idea) and luckily I became pregnant a couple months later; and when you're pregnant you're not supposed to clean the cat's litter box or anything. Boy was I relieved! :) I got out of that one!
