A lot of people I know are switching to Linux. That's because Linux cannot be invaded by computer virii.
What are your thoughts about it?

I have been using Linux for a few years now. Once I got used to it, I found that I became so much more productive on my computer. I use Linux for many reasons. It is much more customizable than Windows -- I can make my interface look much nicer, and make it work exactly how I want it. With most distributions, my computer runs faster than it does in Windows. Also, you would be surprised how many Windows programs have a Linux equivalent that is just as good or better. It is true that Linux machines do not get viruses, but this is definitely not my only reason for using it. The possibilities are endless!

I don't use Linux because of software and some hardware issues. Technically not all hardware have installation software for Linux and this goes with software as well.
Since microsoft has control of over 70 percent of the computer industry in terms of OS, Software are usually developed for the windows platform.
But when the time comes when Linux also becomes like windows I might think of using it
