Do you ever wonder why some politicians are so popular?

YES YES YES! Right now I'm amazed at how people are reacting to Obama! It's like a cult the way people follow him without caring how he acts or what he says. I'm amazed at how people want change so bad that as long as it isn't Bush they will take anyone, despite their experience. My biggest fear is that Obama will be elected and not long into his presidencey we will have another 9/11 or something even worse! Because Obama thougth he could negotiate with terrorists!

Our governor here in Florida is very popular because he lives up to the promises he makes to Floridians and is a genuinely nice man. I do have some concerns about his plans for a large region of central Florida due to the state's buyout of it's largest single employer but, for now, I trust that Governor Christ does have a plan that will protect the thousands who will lose their jobs as a result. If not, he will certainly not be very popular any longer. As far as other politicians go, I have asked myself that question about some of them in the past few years but that ususally doesn't happen unless there's some sort of controversy, like when Cynthis McKinney hit that Captiol Hill police officer with her cell phone because he was trying to do his job. Her whole attitude was bad but apparently her constituants like her.

I tend to do that with popular political figures in Canada, the USa, and around the world that I do not like. When I like a politician I don't really wonder why they are so popular, I guess because I like them, but if I don't like a popular politician, I wonder why they are so popular.

Some politicians have strong aura. They are charismatic. They are able to draw sizeable audience during their political campaigns. They might be talking nuts but the voters set their ears attentively believing every word that comes out from their mouths believing them as bible truth. What they don't know is that these politicians are a bunch of stooges who are out to minupulate the voters mind. They are just like the actors in the movies who can mesmerised the audience well. Off stage these actors are being idolized by the fans. The script is the same as some popular politicians. They really have what it takes to be a popular politicans.

It's all about charisma and how a politician is portrayed in the media. If someone is charismatic and can speak well, they can always find a following if they can find a platform, regardless of their ideas. Look at Adolf Hitler!

they have money, they have social status... want any more proof, see the current president of the united states, mr george bush... think so? but then, maybe they are just over ambishious... they want to do lots of things to help the country, but, have no idea how to implement it.
