Just now it felt like my heart just sank.
I used to see Toonami back in the late '90s on Cartoon Network. It looked so
good with Moltar and the masked TOM, 1 through 3. All the good anime were there,
such as Sailor Moon, Dragon Ball Z, and even non-anime shows like
Reboot and the Powerpuff Girls. Such a shame to see it go. Too bad I
didn't see it on TV, but it was way ahead of its time until they
revealed the face of TOM that was in the video.
Goodbye Toonami. We'll miss ya. In the words of Spock, "live long and
prosper", and you filled that part well.
That's right. Toonami is, unfortunately gone for good. It won't be long before Cartoon Network goes down with them.

I do miss toonami, but I think your version was different from the one I watched (live in Northern Ireland btw). Initially cartoon network played anime like tenchi muyo,gundam wing,dragon ballz and batmat of the future in the evening slot which was called toonami. However there was then a new channel which opened up called CNX it had loads of brilliant comic book based shows. It had xmen,batman of the future all the shows above plus spawn, cowboy bebop, adult swim, outlaw star and a horror movie/scifi movie afterword.It did disapeard pretty much without warning, was very annoyed and it was replaced by the babyish cartoon network two which shows the same thing as cartoon network so I dont really see the point of it. Also pretty much outraged at the lack of anime on tv in general now.All we have at the moment is poorly dubbed english pokemon cartoons.

Oh gosh I was so sad when Toonami was taken down. It's just not fair. I haven't been that disappointed since they took Tenchi Muyo and Hamtaro off the air. . .Oh well. At least we still have Adult Swim. But the anime comes on so late now. . .They should show the comedy AFTER the anime dammit. They already show the comedy part of it on Sundays. . .

Toonami nowawdays makes me cry. -sigh- I used to watch it with the wonderful Sailor Moon, DBZ before it started to suck, ReBoot (now that I've learned all I have I realize how INGENIOUS that show was. Hexadecimal?! Cooooool!)...
I loved it.
I haven't watched Toonami in years, it just sucks too darn much. I've lost a lot of my will to watch most of what's on Adult Swim, too. They used to have Kikaider which was amazing, but overall their show choices are miserable, especially after Family Guy ends. =(
