Both my mother and my aunt have sufferred both breast and ovarian cancer and they both got it fairly early and oth have survived their ordeals with it. We don't know their mothers medical history because the were adopted and te records sealed back then. I also don't know ow my father's mother's health was because she died in childbirth fairly young and my grandfather remairried quickly after. That woman is my grandmother in my heart but as she is not my genetic forbear we can't take her health or klongevity into the equation. However based on that history my doctor says that the chances of me contracting either type of cancer is high and that I must be vigilant now that I am getting older or I may not catch it in time to enjoy the recovery that both my aunt and mother have made.
Does your family medical history say that you are predisposed to certain genetic diseases or hereditariy inherited conditions? What are they? Do you know the first warning signs for the diseases that run in your family? Or do you just blithely hope and pray that you are spared and you ignore the vigilant route?

Right now, I can only think of hypertension which has been passed down from my grandparents. I am also suffering from it although I'm still diagnosed to have essential hypertension (mostly those that aren't hereditary in nature) and I have another one which is hyperhomocysteinemia which is a rare illness where my blood easily clots. I already had 3 mild strokes and based from those who had the said illness (body strength is usually regained easily compared to other stroke patients), it is usually hereditary as well but can also be acquired.
We also have diabetes in our family and thank God, my mom, me and my sister did not acquire it. Take care!

Luckily those conditions respond well to changes in diet and exercise and you can nitigate the risks to your health. For the clotting of course I am sure that your doctor has you on low dose aspirin thereapy for the blood thinning properties that aspirin has. Good luck with all of that and tyhank you for sharing that.

Thank you as well my friend. Yeah, I'm already taking aspirin and I'm taking it everyday for a lifetime. good thing it's not that expensive and it should lessen my risks having another one. Take care.

Prayer and faith are always a good placeto be however heredity can sometimes have a nasty way of out guning or outmanuevering prayer and faith. Preventive measures are a great way to keep from having problems down the line too.
