I have just recently experienced an ectopic pregnancy. I found out I was pregnant about 3 weeks ago. On the 21st of October I went into the Er only to find out it was a tubal pregnancy. I was given 2 rounds of chemotherapy to try to dissolve the pregnancy since it couldnt thrive in my fallopian tube, but it seemed to fail. So I had surgery on Halloween to remove the baby. I had laproscopy surgery. They only made 3 small incisions and I seem to be recovering rather fast. I am only 6 days out of surgery and I feel great. Although the emotional pain has just set in since I'm not physically in pain and distracted. Did you find it hard to carry on with daily activities? Thanks

Yes I have experienced a pregnancy loss. I was 12 weeks pregnant and I went to the DR. and they told me that I would probably have a miscarriage over the weekend but if I didn't to come back at the start of the week and they would do a D & C. I had the miscarriage that night and it was HORRIBLE. It was all I could think about for weeks but it gradually got better. This was 15 years ago and it still bothers me and I do still think about it every once in a while...I'm sorry for your loss.

I never have, but I've heard stories from other women who have and my heart goes out to them and yourself. I can't even imagine what that feels like and I'm sorry for your loss.......

I did about a week ago ... I also had a ectopic pregancy and it ended up miscarrying even before I knew I was pregnant. I was about two months pregnant when it happened. I am still trying to deal with it. But I am not having an easy time at it....it is definitely not the easiest thing to get over. I don't even know if I will....but the only thing to do is go on with your life and keep trying.

I had surgery for an ectopic pregnancy on October 19th, 2006. Only I lost my left fallopian tube as well as the pregnancy, due to the fact that the tube had ruptured. Recovery was a bit longer for me due to that fact, and the emotional pain didn't really set in until after the physical recovery period. I did find it hard to care about my daily activities much for quite a while, and only in the past month or so have I regained some semblance of enjoyment of life. I'm so sorry to hear about your loss.

I realize this is an old discussion - but I need to talk to someone about this...
I had a burst Ectopic pregnancy and a HUGE cyst removed on the 1st of Nov 2007. I'm almost fully recovered from surgery - I lost alot of blood... but emotionally I am a wreck! (Plus I have 3 little boys - 5,2 and 10 mo; so am tired and not having the time to go thru this all.)
I have 2 previous miscarriages (1st before boy#1, 2nd before boy #2) and now this! It's so hard... the stages of grief are what I know I am going thru - and it hurts.
Give me time and lots of hugs and chocolate!
