what do you do on orkut, apart from making new friends?

i use orkut for getting help about a particular thing, or getting in connection with my distance friends... even i get useful ebooks from orkut.
what do you do on orkut? just making new friend is the purpose you think of it?

I started off at orkut trying to find my friends and keeping in youch with them. For me, initially orkut was like a chat site where conversations could be stored. But honestly, its much more than that. For about a year or so, I've hardly had any scraps as I found the communities to be much more interesting. I spend atleast an hour daily on a couple of communities which are my favourite. Its very informative to be a part of this great social network. As you said, e-books and other materials of study are really useful to the needy. Kudos to orkut. I hope it stays forever and keeps getting better.

as you said about communities,
my favourite place is PS2 official club, i get all the knowledge about PS2 an its product... from this community only,
i was a newbie with PS2, but this communtiy made it possible that today i know what are the best games around, what are the prices for game DVDs in different cities and state of india,how to correct few problems, etc.
Other than that, i have downloaded lot of ebooks from another communitites, buying which could have cost me a FORTUNE.
I have connection with my school students, with my friends in 12th standard, with my seniours who had left college and all those friends not present there with me,

i think orkut is one of the best social site in world.
and it also won award for that. orkut provides lots of things like games play, horoscope, chatting and many application apart from making friends.
i also play teen patti on orkut often and also doing chat with people.
and also many appilication with i enjoy much.

Hi All,
Apart from making friends I usually search for useful topics or links in forums. I think people waste their time in chatting and they should invest at least some time in those forums to learn. I mean you will get everything in the forums like from DVD print movies to latest games, torrents, wallpapers.
Also if you are interested in any subject you can join related forums like job search,animation etc.
I don't like new orkut games at all....they are silly..
Except that I do everything.... but yes chatting with friends is also a must :D
