Homemade or Canned Soups? Which do you prefer?

I have only been making my own soups for about 9 years now. Outside of the occasional split pea soup, I always served soup from a can. Now I prefer homemade over canned. I love to try different herbs and spices to change the flavor. You never get bored with the soup, because you can always change it.

i prefer homemade soups to canned ones, but whenever i'm in a rush a canned soup will do just fine. of course you can't even compare the two....homemade stuff always win. it's the taste, the flavour...it's everything. all the good stuff in one.

We bought a couple of cans of soup yesterday, but that is for a quickie meal. I try to make enough soup to last for several meals. We are having homemade chicken noodle with vegetables tonight.....smells great!

I only like homemade. Soup from a can is awful and full of sodium.

I have had a soup that was so salty it made your lips pinch together the moment you put it to your lips.....not my soup....my mother-in-laws.

I love making homemade soups. I like making potato soup, cauliflower soup, and mexican soup. They are inexpensive, easy, and are a great "warm you up" meal during the winter. And of course I always have to have a pan of cornbread to go with it!

I prefer homemade. I think they are much tastier, and they have more variety. They also most likely have a lot less salt.

I like homemade soup the best. I dont have a lot of time to make homemade soup so I buy it in a can. But when I get the time I will make homemade soup.I really like the chicken and noddle soup and veggie soup.
