Should celebreties get involved in politics or not? Is it an unfair use of publicity to use your fame to rally ppl to vote for one or another candidate?

Hollywood - hollywood sign
It doesn't bother me, but then again, I don't pay them any attention, figuring their lives are on an average - reaLLy screwed up! So why would anyone follow them!? But I guess people do.. I think it's way rude, however to make political comments, say, at their concerts and at awards ceremonies and all. Especially at a concert, why would they want to alienate half the crowd? Or any of the crowd?

It's a free country and they have a right just like any other citizen to get involved. It is also my right as a consumer to not buy their product. I do find it funny that they think can speak for the common person when they live so far out of reality. I also feel like anyone that votes because a celebrity tells them to well i kinda wish they wouldn't vote anyway.
