Marriage proposal

I have lost count on the times i have had marriage proposals on the net and really they have to be kidding as if your going to say yes to them as when you don't know them at all and the only reason they want marriage is to get over to your country as they cant any other way unless u invite them or sponsor them as if.
Has anyone ever accepted a marriage proposal and did it go and how long did it last

I think it's kind of silly when people do that just to gain access to your country. It's also a bit sad though, as they may be desperately trying to escape the oppression they face in their home land. I would be a friend but nothing more, and never would I give them money to come over here, I might try to help them raise the money by giving them ideas to help them do so, but other then that, well no.
Especially since I am already engaged. Now what's really sad is people who may try to talk you out of your engagement, or marriage, promise you the world if you marry them. Or promise something else.

i have had the same thing where they try to convince you they are better than who u are with pretty sad and desperate.
