Why do people get animals and not plan to take care of them.Give them the health care they need. Why do people not give their "beloved" pet an adequate shelter. Why do people declaw their cats? Why get a cat or a dog and not spay or neuter them?I wish people would grow up and be responsible for their pets or just not get a pet.

Yes, I do remember my neighbour who used to have a good dog and will go away for days locking the dog in dog cage. The dog used to cry of starvation. I fed it a couple of times once. I confronted my neighbour who said it is none of my business, so I reported the incident to blue cross society who in turn complained to police and had him fined. I think he got away loose, he should be kept in a prison without food.

Yes and I wondered also why people nowadays just simply want to have pets but having them according their own need. Pets are nowadays are merely not more than just a belonging and not to be treated like an animal itself. I really think people are becoming lonely in this crowded planet. We tend to work and work to achive our goals. Pet are really a good substitute if we're living alone or a family with a few kids. We want to feel them as much as close to be human as possible till we forget what is like tobe the animal inside their soul. We tend to do more damaged than goodness to them. For me I own a cat. Luckilly I live on the ground and everyday I just let the cat come and go as he please and let him do what he want. I love my cat.

People are cruel.
There is a lady that lives close to me that takes in orphaned cats. She takes them in and feeds them and has a barn that she has individual stalls for them and she is great with them. She lives alone and she says it occupies her time and she loves the cats.
That was the first summer job my son had was cleaning the stalls out every day for the cats for $25.00 a week. It was good for him, he just had to walk down the road and spend an hour or two a day feeding them and cleaning out the stalls. She always gets a oung kid inth neighborhood to help her with them
We also adopted a couple of the cats from her that he took a liking to! LOL
