How come plus size clothes are so expensive. You would think since everyone in the USA is overweight that they would make them cheeper. But no you never can find good or nice clothes at a dicent price. Do you know of good places or agree with me.

I am a plus size and your are right. Good plus size clothes are expensive. Lane Bryant has wonderful clothes. I don't know what I would do if I couldn't shop there. They frequently have sales and you can often get good stuff cheap off their sale rack. You can also shop online at Lanebryant.com. Romans is another good plus size online site. I have bought a lot of pretty things there, but again they are expensive. If you don't mind second hand items then you could probably get some Lane Bryant clothes on ebay for cheap--I am also checking out some swapping sites to see if I can get anything good that way. I never buy plus sizes in regular stores. They are also grandma-ish and moomoo like. I am 30 don't want to dress like I am 80. Plus they never fit right. I guess they are so expensive because they have a captive audience, its not like you can go anywhere else and get clothes like a normal size person can.

I don't wear plus size clothes but I have a friend that is a plus size. Not only do the manufacturers take advantage by charging an exorbitant price, but they seem to use the ugliest fabrics that they can find. I swear that they go to the thrift shop of fabric to buy the materials to make their clothing. I have tried to figure out WHY they charge such awfully high prices, and the only thing that I can figure is that they do it because it takes extra fabric to make the clothing. I suggest that you catalog shop, Lane Bryant is one good source. Some of the other catalogs that have clothes also have plus sizes in them. I'll do some research and see what I can come up with for places to find clothes. I just remembered that my friend loves to go to Fashion Bug, which has plus sizes.
